Publisher's Summary

From the #1 New York Times bestselling author comes an unexpected love story of family, secrets, and the most intimate of deceptions.

My estranged twin brother, Julian, was always the wonder boy - and soon-to-be CEO of our ruthless father’s corporation. My mother and me? Left behind. Now, years after tearing our family apart, my father dares to ask me for a favor? Pretend to be Julian while he fights to survive a tragic accident. It can save the company. Nobody will be the wiser. It’ll be our secret.

I can play Dad’s favorite. I’ll do it for Julian. And for my mother, who’ll want for nothing.

But this double life comes with a beauty of a hitch: my very real feelings for Julian’s fiancée, Isobel. Not only am I betraying Julian, I’m deceiving a woman I love. She doesn’t suspect a thing. As lies compound, lines are crossed and loyalties tested, all I can ask myself is...what have I done?

Because sooner or later something’s got to give. There’s no way I’m giving up Isobel. But once the truth is exposed, it might not be my choice at all.

I wish...

I wish the narrators were different I tried sooo hard but I can get get past how Lucy sounds too old for our main character and Alexander just isn’t for me. His female voice is just terrible. I know not all narrators are for everyone, but when your excited for a book and are so disappointed, well it’s just sad. I love this author so I will have to buy the book and read it.

No more Alexander Cendese!

I cannot handle how horrible the narrator is!!! He sounds like a parody of an old woman in a 1950’s sit com. His main character voice is fine, but every other character is so over the top that no one in the book is relatable or believable. So sad that he destroyed a Rachel Van Dyken book.

Intense and Captivating Story

A unique and captivating story that drew me in from that first page till that stunning ending. I listened intently and couldn’t get enough of this story. I sat on pins and needles waiting and hoping for that HEA. I loved each twist and turn of this intense story. The narration was spot on and made the story that much enjoyable. Both Alexander Cendese and Lucy Rivers were perfect. It’s been a long time since I picked up a Rachel Van Dyken book and I am so glad I picked this one up. I cannot wait to read Finding Him.

Rather unbelievable story line

The female voice sounded like a 13-year-old girl, so it was hard to see this character as an adult, having sex with the lead character! This seems to be a tendency on television, movies and some audiobooks lately. The lead female characters sound like valley girls much of the time, and teenagers all the time. Audiobooks are less prone to this than other popular media. The voice of the male lead sounded like he was about to have a panic attack throughout the entire book. It was also hard to warm up to the lead male character because the author wrote him as a liar and a cheat. He should have confessed all to his brother’s former fiancé on day one. It would’ve made a much better story for the two of them to be working together to bring down the evil father. And the lead character would not have seem like such a bastard. And the female character would not have seem so weak and needy ass to fall twice for bastards.

Narratators ruined a great story

The story was great, however, the narrators ruined the book. It was very hard to push through and listen due to this. Rachel Van Dyken is an amazing author and I love her I only hope these 2 NEVER narrate one of her books again

Right Twin.

It’s interesting how things turn out in this story. I wanted a inkling of some sense of humor but this was pretty serious, heart-breaking kind of deal. So, it wasn’t bad, just a bit different for me. I would think Isobel would figure it out who’s who right away due to how she truly knows Julien-it was very far fetch but I still dig it! Bridge did a # on me, too. Lol.

Good story.

I enjoyed reading and listening to this book and I purchased book 2 after I got to chapter 4 in this book. Alexander Cendese is a very fine narrator and one of my favorites. (I especially liked his narration of The Perry Mason series).

Stealing Her: 4.9 stars

Stealing Her is a great book. I hesitated before reading it (the summary didn't sound appealing), but I am so glad that I read it (combined with listening). I love the storyline, I love the story development, I love the charachters and I love the writing. I going to dive into the second book in this duet, although it seems as they can be read as a stand alone. Very recommended.
