Why are some people and organisations more inventive, pioneering and successful than others? And why are they able to repeat their success again and again?

Because in business it doesn't matter what you do, it matters why you do it.

Steve Jobs, the Wright brothers and Martin Luther King have one thing in common: they started with why.

This book is for anyone who wants to inspire others or to be inspired.

Good, but can be easily summed up

Great book, but you can probably get away with just watching a YouTube summary of it. There were a lot of examples and repetition. It's good for those in business, but you don't need to listen to the whole thing to understand what to do.

Could have been a 30 minute book

Could have been a 30 minute book - quite repetitive, not much detail involved. Fine if you're a total novice but you get better education on YouTube.

Good topic but not very helpful

This is an interesting topic which was why I started listening to this book. However, the author didn't articulate any transferrable knowledge from the examples of "starting with why" uence extremely difficult to find the relevance to my life. And those examples were used again and again, and the statements were also repetitive. Hence it became neither interesting nor useful. When I started wondering why I kept listening to it, the answer and decision became simple.

Underwhelmed

I was recommended this book through a leadership course. I can't say I was overwhelmed, in fact, I was close to ripping my hair out if I heard one more story about Apple. It seems the exec summary of this book is most succinctly summarized as, try to be like Apple. Problem is, his examples contradict themselves, as does Apple's general conduct as supposed 'good' corporate citizens. No thanks...

Was hard to finish

In the last couple of years, I’ve heard about Apple’s sweat-shops in China to amass their fortunes & Bill Gates apparently being mates with Jeffrey Epstein - it was really hard to listen to how awesome they all were. It very much seemed that Simon has stocks in Apple or something or vying for free stuff!?? Or maybe it’s because I don’t think I’ve ever seen an Apple ad played here in Australia.
There’s a good message there but the book did repeat itself alot! Unfortunately I have learned more from Simon through podcasts & reels online than this book.

A Great Book with your time.

very good information, well delivered, easy to apply to the individual life, Simon knows this topic better than anyone. Forget about all the books telling you how to write your story, (I've read them all) you only need to know your Why.

Great ideas, but so repetitive

I get it, Apple is the best company ever. Strong ideas in this book, but could have been 1/3rd of the size.
