About this listen

Book two of the Stanton series in the follow up from the gripping debut novel by T L Swan, Stanton Adore.

Unconditional love, does it really exist or is it an urban myth.
What does it really mean?
Do you love someone because of their flaws? Or in spite of them.
And at what point are the conditions more to bear than the love is worth.

This is what I’m trying to decipher, this is my story, I’ll let you be the judge.

I was so looking forward to book #2. It really is a hard read (listen) though. God it’s so hard to find an inkling of like or respect for the leading lady. The character has zero substance and is only capable of hissy fits and crying. It really gets old quickly. How many times can they fall out and get back together? Where’s the story here? Maybe book 3 will give us one? We can only hope.

Tough read

After absolutely loving the first instalment and the cliff hanger that had me waiting for months, I was a bit disappointed in this second book. The back and forth between Joshua and Natasha became increasingly frustrating. You really want to cheer for them to get together and after a while it became harder to do that.
I like the stories and character building in the supporting characters. Although another cliffhanger, I really hope the third one delivers and we get less turmoil, drama and toxicity and it heads towards a happy ending. They deserve one 😉

Not as good as the first book
