Bøgerne fortæller om Søs’ oplevelser i skolen og sammen med familien derhjemme. Hans Chr. Hansen (f. 1949) er en dansk forfatter, som er kendt for at have udgivet et væld af letlæselige børnebøger. Hansen fik sin debut i 1982 med bogen "Ferdinand og Eske" og er siden blandt andet blevet tildelt Kommunernes Skolebiblioteksforenings Forfatterpris (1992) og Årets Læse-let-forfatter (1999).
