About this listen

On the 10th anniversary of a profound loss, comedian Michael Cruz Kayne felt compelled to describe his feelings of grief in 140 characters or less. Much to his surprise, more than 200,000 people responded in solidarity from all corners of the globe. Overwhelmed by the response, the Late Show with Stephen Colbert writer and host of A Good Cry created Sorry for Your Loss, a sidesplitting, heartrending look at life—and death. This powerfully personal production, recorded live from the Minetta Lane Theatre, cuts through the platitudes, directly reaching out to anyone who has ever experienced loss—or will. So...everyone.

Now available in Dolby Atmos on Audible.

After listening to this I felt so many emotions, but mostly just felt really, really good.
Beautiful, funny, insightful, so so sad. Will be recommending to all.
Michael leaves you with incredibly funny and perceptive jewels for contemplation you can take out and polish as you move through life toward death.

*some people may be bothered he refers to visual media like photos but I felt Michaels dry, witty descriptions covered it pretty well.

Incredible the range of emotions, factoids, jokes, and tear jerkers fit into just over an hour. If nothing else it addresses the very real disconnect we have in ‘the west’ from grief, which is odd given loss of life is the only thing guaranteed to happen to *every single one of us*. Props for having the guts to share your story of unimaginable loss, and somehow make it hilarious and informative at the same time. One of those performances I think everyone should experience, as the show is performed with the Audible listener in mind (ie anything that is displayed on a screen is described like you were there).

First audible that made me genuinely LOL and cry

This guy is not funny at all, and the audience were just laughing at anything he said. So l just stopped listening. I was not really interested by his story but the story he was supposed to tell. But cold not wallow through all the forced laughter to listen to what he was sot say about the subject. Boring sums it up l suppose.
