if s.j tilly is writing it, I'm reading it. sin series, alliance series and now the darling series. Such a talented writer that can orchestrate the act of falling in love perfectly no matter what the setting. This small town romance holds all the charms, twists and embarrassments that come with it and I for one, cannot wait to read how and who the others fall.

Never expected this type of twist drama in what I thought was a sweet romance. Elouise's bloopers from age 7 when she first decided she loved Beckett gave me many chuckles. Beckett, seeing her for the first time all grown up, really set the scene for how he felt. Of course, everything couldn't be easy, so the miscommunication was actually suited to the storyline and understandable. I'm not a fan normally of too much miscommunication, but this was done well.

Beckett was so swoonworthy, and I can't wait to read Maddie's story next.

I read on Kindle and read along on Audible. The voice actors were good.

HOT and Perfection

While I loved the story and the performances were pretty good it’s a shame the actors didn’t keep to their roles during each chapter. Having a female do a males voice and vice versa when there were both male and female voices it was a little frustrating. Though this wasn’t a huge off put. The story itself was amazing and the voice actors did do a good job when doing their own roles.
