John Max Pedersen (f.1942-1992) var en dansk kommunist, arbejder og forfatter. Som 14-årig meldte han sig ind i DKU og kæmpede siden som værftsarbejder for arbejderens rettigheder. Hans forfatterskab begyndte med en novelle i "Fagbladet", og senere blev det til både romaner, novellesamlinger og digte. Han betragtede selv alle sine bøger som en del af en politisk kamp for et socialistisk samfund.
