About this listen

Original cast members from the beloved TV series, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, reunite for an all-new adventure about connections that never die—even if you bury them.

A decade has passed since the epic final battle that concluded Buffy the Vampire Slayer (TV). The game-changing spell that gave power to all potential Slayers persists. With new Slayers constantly emerging, things are looking grim for the bad guys. Rebellious vampire Spike (James Marsters) is working undercover in Los Angeles with his old pal Clem (James Charles Leary) when he meets feisty, rookie Slayer, Indira (Laya DeLeon Hayes), who wants Spike to be her mentor. Stakes intensify as Cordelia Chase (Charisma Carpenter) emerges from an alternate reality where she alone is the Slayer, and Buffy Summers doesn’t exist. Cordelia enlists Spike’s help with a classic big bad terrorizing her world…his ex, Drusilla (Juliet Landau). Giles (Anthony Head), Anya (Emma Caulfield Ford), Jonathan (Danny Strong), and Tara (Amber Benson) also return, but through the years and the vastness of the multiverse, not everyone is who they used to be…

Slayers: A Buffyverse Story is written and directed by Amber Benson and Chris Golden, and co-directed by Kc Wayland.

This was fantastic. Plot twist’s galore especially in the last few minutes. I can’t wait for the next time. Also Charisma Carpenter & James Masters great but Juliet Landua takes her work to a whole new level in this audio performance.

Nostalgia & New Adventure rolled into one.

I fangirled HARD when I read this story was being released. Binged it in one day! The first couple of episodes had me a bit concerned, Spikes accent seemed different and, well, it lacked that Slayeresque feeling. However, the second Cordy spoke it was there. That old magic came back, and although some of the plot felt very fanfic-ish, this was an absolute delight to listen to. Giles was, as always, the perfect anchor. The baby slayer was a wonderful foil for the rest of the characters, Spikes accent (and attitude) roared back, Anya was brilliant, Dru as whimsically insane as ever, and Tara was surprisingly intriguing. Loved that the end was a set up for more, please keep them coming!

Overall, a hell of a ride!

Ensemble was what made BtVS so great and this shows just how terrific this ensemble was….is. Five stars for Clem alone Sad that we only got one of the core four, but I have faith that Amber will rope everyone in. Excellent performances from all regulars. I’ll admit that the action noises were a little odd, but I expect that’s just good theatre. The story was fun and the ending intriguing! Thanks for not disappointing

Wicked!

As a long time Buffy/Angel fan (particularly if Cordy and Spike) this was wonderful. I also adore KC Wayland’s audio dramas!

Thoroughly enjoyed!!!!

This audio book helped fill the Buffy sized hole in my heart!

Having the voices of the original cast back was phenomenal.

The story was a great mix of Buffy nostalgia and the next generation of slayer. Although perhaps with a little less tongue in cheek and sassy quips.

Hoping there will be more stories to follow!

Cordelia finally gets her moment!
