Det er sommer ved Fårup Fjord. Når Terne ikke haenger ud med Emma, så passer hun slangerne i sin fars terrarium og keder sig lidt - lige indtil Hugo traeder ind ad døren. Ham har hun aldrig set i Fårup før, men han er både sød og skøn og interesseret! Ternes veninde, Emma, er mere interesseret i den bølge af tyverier, som finder sted i området, isaer fordi politiet har udlovet en dusør, og hun overtaler Terne til at lege opdagere. Det går faktisk også meget fint, men lige pludselig bliver det hele lidt for spaendende, for måske er tyvene lidt for taet på?
