Summary

World number one tennis star Elin Larsson is in hot pursuit of a record number of Grand Slam titles. But between pressing injuries and growing anxiety, it's starting to feel like her heart isn't in it.

Gorgeous rival player Toni Cortes Ruiz bursts onto the scene, chasing her first slam.

As their paths keep crossing in big matches, a growing attraction starts to burn between the competitive women. Elin's used to winning - but not when the woman she's falling for is on the other side of the net. As scandals, the media, and the world starts closing in on them, Elin and Toni need to decide whether they're competitors or on the same side.

Contains mature themes.

So this was kinda mixed for me. The idea of the story is a good one for me. I’ve always wanted like a heated rivalry but lesbians in tennis. I do for sure enjoy the pairing of Aelin and Toni. Good pairings. The sexy times are good too. I also liked the ended more than I thought and it was touching. I do for sure think that the writing was lacking a certain something for me. Lola isn’t really a Cass but maybe one day? I also just want to point out that Aelins appreciation of the BBC is kinda weird to me because she has a trans sister and the BBC is fairly notorious for showcasing transphobic anti trans material. As a trans woman things like this stick out like a sore thumb.

Truly mixed
