A Cinderella story
Poor, abused, unassuming but independent Cinderella-type character tries to handle her problems (and does a half decent job doing so) but has to learn to share her problems and accept help from fist-happy, rich immortal (and somewhat damaged goods) Prince Charming character. This one doesn't have the same amount of humour we read in Seven Years but the pack brothers don't disappoint. I'm really looking forward to the rest of the books in this series.

Second is not better
I really wanted to like this one. The first in the series was okay and I saw that the author was setting something up for a long series. In this second novel the main character is deeply annoying. She just allows everyone to walk all over her. She stumbles around not telling anyone that she has people after her and goes to an abandoned warehouse to meet a guy that already creeped her out who does that? She is winey and I didn't care at all what happened to her. The narrator isn't bad as a rule, but her choice for April's voice was bad. She made her some like a 12 year old Marylyn Monroe and it was hard to listen the whole way through. There were so many little things that I couldn't stand about April! She was too dumb to live and needed constant saving through out the book, she allowed any man in her life tell her what to do, an example is her changing her hair because Reno wanted it natural. It's her hair she stated she had always hated the natural color and as soon as he says let it grow out boom she is growing it out. I was looking for a new series, but if this is the way the series is headed I'm out.

Great Book. Weakest one in series but worth it.
April is just too whiney. Not enough between Reno and April to fill in the time between April's catastrophes. Not enough info about Reno. I love this series and this author. Don't judge the rest on this book. It is worth reading, just not the best, by far.

Struggling through this one
I'm struggling through this book. It's not the story, I'm intrigued and want to find out what happens to April and Reno. But MAN... the narrator makes April sound like a dimwit with no backbone whatsoever. I honestly cringe at her voice sometimes. I get that she's had a hard life, and that bad things keep happening, but... she also doesn't seem to have any courage to make her life better. It's not the kind of story I like to listen to.
I do like that the voices for the characters are the same in book 1as book 2, though. I can immediately tell who is talking by the voice, even if they are not a main part of the story anymore. It's well done. I just really don't like how weak and trampled April is becoming.

Overall ~ A Great Story!!
I really love the "shifter" world Dannika Dark has created, and how the characters are more down to earth. They are not all sexy, multimillionaires with lots of toys but more like the average person with issues you can relate to like needing home and car repairs, or personal issues like breaking up with someone or being betrayed.
This story is mainly about April struggling with these types of issues while her relationship with Reno grows. However, her situation goes from bad to worse when loan sharks start coming after her and threatening her over her late grandmother's debt. April ends up making some hard decisions on how to deal with these dangerous loan sharks.
This story has a strong presence of the other Weston Pack members and we get to see more of their personalities which I love.
The thing I liked least about this story was the narration. It's had for me to say anything negative about a narrator because I know it is hard work to be the voice for so many different characters; however, I had to start and stop this story several times because of April's voice; it sounded so depressing.
Overall, I really did enjoy the story and it is worth a credit.

Love Reno! April is a relatable character.
I truly enjoyed this book. The emotion is this book is intense. Readers should be warned, the story isn't super cheery and bubbly. It had many depressing moments. Five Months is about a young shy woman who has been delt a bad hand and a half. I can relate to the April in some ways like drowning in debt, living in a not-so-nice place, car troubles as well as being awkward and timid around men. Poole does an excellent job narrating April's character, making her seem naive and timid. She's not the Alpha female Lexi was. Reno is a dominate , yet understanding and compassionate. The ending is not what i would typically expect from a paranormal romance and for that reason i have respect for the author and i love this book. It brought a sense of realism to the story (i know i know... realism isnt the point in a paranormal romance lol). I kept expecting April to suddenly become immortal or something as thats what happens in most books I've read. But to my surprise she remains human and Reno is not. So the ending is happy, yet it carries a bit of sadness due to April's mortality.

Worth the credit
First let me say I have never written a review even after hundreds of books - this series deserves it! It reminds me of the BDB series ....really great!
This particular book is outstanding...better than the first. I can't wait to get to the next one. The only issue I had was that April ...well I just wanted to shake her!! Her voice is annoying after hours of listening; she was not a main character in the first book so I didn't notice that much but the book is worth the irritation and definitely worth a credit!

Lots of storyline surprises
I liked reading this. I cried once because some things went on that were sad. I applaud the author for showing bits and pieces of the real worlds troubles that go on below the radar of most. The story was still resolved nicely. There are characters that seem prominent for the next books that I’m about to read soon.

Not my favorite
What did you love best about Six Months?
The continuation of the storyline.
Who was your favorite character and why?
I liked Reno, he had baggage but when he found the person he wanted, he left his past behind and went forward toward his future.
What does Nicole Poole bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Her voices for the characters are similar but as she reads the story you do know who's who.
Any additional comments?
Even though this wasn't my favorite, I think we had to find out what was going on with April and Reno. I have no problem saying the Seven series is worth your credits.

OH DEAR
I enjoyed the Mageri series which got better with each book so I thought I'd give the Seven Series a try which has been a bit of a disappointment in comparison. However Six Months has got to be the worst of the series. The narration only emphasises how annoyingly stupid, weak and inadequate the "heroine" is to the point I was rolling my eyes and wanting to bitch slap some common sense and backbone into her. I can't believe I stuck with it as long as I did. I've listened to hundreds of books and this has to be down there at the bottom.

New author for me and I'm hooked!!!
This is the second in the series and I'm heading into the rest at full tilt! The story is light but with beautiful messy human twists that are written with compassion and humour. There is angst, danger, teasing, emotion, anger, sarcasm, stunning alpha males with cheeky overinflated egos and a gorgeous little six year old that steals the lime light. My one regret? That I didn't listen to this ages ago!!!

a good book to listen to
I enjoyed the story. April did get a little annoying at times. She had been dealt a hard blow in life and deals well with it. The storyline was engaging and it was nice to keep up with other characters in the pack. They are all developing as the stories progress and become a little more three dimensional with each encounter. I love Trevor and felt he could have had an even bigger role.

enjoyed
enjoyed story. sex episodes were a bit long and detracted from the actual story. at times the voice of April was rather irritating, however I am enjoying the book series.

WOW.... Amazing
On rare occasions when a the first book in a series is really great, the second book in that series is too!
This is that rare occasion, enjoy
The narrator was awesome, truly wonderful. 😁
