Not a fan

This wasn’t what I was expecting. Throughout the book there are testimonials from people (women) who have used the method. This breaks up the direction of the book and is more a Pat on the back for the author rather than helping the reader to make changes in their own home. I love recommending cleaning and organising books to friends who are going through the same process. This won’t be one of them.

great for getting your house in order

while the content is somewhat dated (talk of phone books, old ways of doing things that are now redundant etc) the actual fly lady method is in my opinion really great for anyone of any life situation. this book, teamed with the free app and the facebook group, makes for a really informative, helpful, amazing system for anyone who needs to get it together in their housekeeping. certainly worth the read and also i feel more attainable/achievable than the "sidetracked home executives" book (which the author of this book loves and learned from) but ive read that too and found this one easier to implement. ive been "flying" for only a week so far and my home is vastly improved already

Boring

Quite boring and old fashioned. I haven’t gained much info listening. Does not create joy.

too much religion not enough household tips

I never would have bought this if I knew how much religious talk there was. Not for me. Little talk on what I thought was the subject matter, most of that was just lists of things to clean. And the assumptions about men and women are from the 19th century "remember to hand his lunch to your husband". what, is he a child??? When a man does housework he isn't helping you, he's being a grown up in his own house. He's not babysitting when he looks after his own children. Waste of money!
