About this listen
I always thought I’d start the apocalypse. Instead I’ve been asked to help end it.
How does one stop the end of the world, you might ask? You gotta knock up Lucifer’s vessel before he does.
I know, I know. I was surprised too. But let me tell you, if ever there was an incubus made for the job, it’s me.
With a name like Sin, you’d think this should have been the easiest task I’d ever been assigned. And you’d be correct. Except said vessel is a beautiful and dangerously powerful succubus in her own right. Oh, and she’s not interested.
Not in me or any of the other horsemen who were assigned to protect her. Yup, that’s right. The four horsemen of the apocalypse are back.
War
Pestilence
Famine
Death
She may not be our biggest fan, but one of us has to be her baby’s daddy. Which is why she’s been forced to live with us until we get the job done. We’ve never been very good at sharing. Or at saving things instead of destroying them, but when you know who calls in a favor, you don’t say no.
The Doomsday clock is ticking, so save the world it is.
Now if only we could get Merri to play ball. Because if we don’t find a way to get her pregnant before he does, then it’s not just the end of us. It’s the end of everything.
For fans of Supernatural and American Horror Story, USA Today bestselling authors Meg Anne and K. Loraine are thrilled to bring you the final installment in the Mate Games Universe.
Warning: The Mate Games: Apocalypse is a spicy paranormal series featuring morally gray heroes whose methods of protection aren’t always above board. Not that you can expect much honor from a celibate recluse, an incubus rockstar, the original shadow daddy, and a grumpy ex-Spartan. They are the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, after all.

This cast is a who’s who of romance audio legends
I’ve been screaming this from the rooftops: Mate Games is THE series of all series, and once again, Meg and Kim have proven me right. This audiobook is a MASTERPIECE, and having Shane East join the series? Chef’s kiss. I can never get enough of my Brits, and Shane as both Grimsby and Crombie, giving us double the dose of his legendary talent. I can never get enough of my Brits, and Shane absolutely nailed it. Crombie’s sharp wit and Grimsby’s brooding edge? Chef’s kiss. Literal perfection.
Then there’s James Joseph as Malice...Pan's father, who is my absolute favourite character in the whole series (closely followed by Noah Blackthorne becuase I am a Vampire Witch hybrid at heart). Watching Malice and Grimsby interact—Shane and JJ with their banter—made my Brit loving heart so full. Let me just say, the Daddies are Daddying—and both Shane and JJ nailed every second of it. Their dynamic is pure gold, and every scene had me grinning ear to ear.
Speaking of accents, I loved that Meg and Kim threw in an Aussie accent right off the bat - I'll just pretend that one was for me and the fact that Shane's Aussie accent is so authentic and just plain brilliant.
I also absolutely LOVED that we have cameos from the other Mate Games series. Seeing familiar faces and getting glimpses of their stories again? Pure magic.
And oh my gosh, JF Harding as Sinclair? HILARIOUS and hot AF. Every scene he’s in is pure gold. The banter between Sinclair and Crombie is absolutely next-level:
“I’m the f^cking king of seduction, you wingless firefly.”
Dead.
Then there’s Jason Clarke as Chaos, bringing grumpy hilarity to a whole new level. The banter between him and JF? PHENOMENAL. Add in Christian Fox’s delicious British accent with Teddy Hamilton, (literal life fuel) and you’ve got a lineup so good it’s almost unfair.
Stella Hunter as (my queen, my goddess, my everything), as both Merri and Lilith? Phenomenal doesn’t even begin to cover it. Lilith might just be my new favourite Fairy S^x Mother. The dynamic between her and Crombie is hilarious, as is the tension between Merri and her Grumpy Horsemen protectors...and the spice? Oh it's SPICING...this one is guaranteed to flood your basement!oooft!!...But this isn’t just spice; the plot is perfectly balanced, and the cliffhanger? I DID NOT SEE THAT COMING.
This audiobook has everything:
Hilarious banter
EPIC narration
A plot that hooks you and won’t let go
Spice that will turn your deserts into a flood-plain!
Meg and Kim, you’re absolute queens, and this series deserves all the hype. This cast is a who’s who of romance audio legends, and I’m obsessed. Mate Games Con 2025 is going to be EPIC, as it should be. There aren’t enough stars in the galaxy for this 1st instalment of the series finale - 10/10 would recommend.
You NEED this in your ears ASAP. Go grab it. You can thank me later.
