Another amazing series from this incredible author. She continues to build magical worlds filled with powerful women who find ways to rule with grace and show everyone how to do things a different and in a more powerful, unified way.

KF Breene is one of the greats when it comes to adult fantasy.

Ok, this book peaked my anxiety from the beginning, I’m not sure if it was just the anticipation or knowing that a showdown was coming but not sure how much backstabbing was going to happen, that had me riled up, but I was.

Lexi is finally coming into her own and even though they’ve kept her in the dark in regards to procedures, it truly helps in calling out the demigods with the barbaric happenings at the Summit.

Keiran has taken a backseat and is literally stuck in meetings all day.

The side characters get to come out and play and I loved seeing all of them and all of their interactions.

These last two books were almost better in audible than reading, which is a credit to the narrator. There were only a couple of scenes that I re read in the book to see if that worked easier but they were on par.

Narration to this book took it to another level for me. I am now looking for more books narastef by Khristine.
