Fantastic storyline, great narration! Love the first book in the series and this one was just as good.

I could not have imagined this ex mafia lawyer with the disruptive family in a small American town would be so relatable and engrossing. I love the drama and the plot twists seem to come at just the right times to keep me going. I've been looking for a gritty thriller for a while but a lot of protagonists are too unrelatable, or their sexist, unrealistic interpretations of the world are too jarring for me. The narrating voice is not my favourite but I believe is totally in line with the story and Im just unfamiliar with American accents for long periods. It's a nice, clear voice. This is really good story, and well presented, It's the second book for me and I'm looking forward to more. Many thanks to the author.
