4 out of 5 stories don't follow the theme

I think I mainly get this collection of stories for Robert Bevan's writings, and the crazy theme that's meant to encompass most of the short stories.... but other than the 1st short story, the other 4 are really just chapters in a not so interesting stand alone book that has little to do with the ongoing theme that makes this series crazy and funny.
Rheyre not crazy nor funny, and kind of boring. it feels like a bit of a rip-off.
of Shingles 11 has anything to do with G.i.r.l whatever story in it, I'm not getting it.
now I'm just using this book to go to sleep to because I still want that sense of completion.
