Finally, an actual ending! It's totally predictable, but that's not surprising, giving the trope. Feels rushed and not filled out enough. The characters are basic with no real character progression from the first book.

The female narrator sounds like she's talking through a mouthful of marbles which often gets really distracting.

Enjoyed this book as well as the two previous. Up until the last chapter when River was introducing someone else, a 'queen' as he mentioned. I feel that when this scene was happening that there was missed opportunity for more plot. I was rather interested in learning about the other character's history with this new character(unless this was an intentional cliff hanger) but it feels like the conversation kind of left midway through with a 3 year later time skip. Really enjoyed it all the way up until the last few minutes where it felt like a let down. If there is another book in the series I would love to see this new character introduced further
