Fabulous Series!!!

I thoroughly enjoyed every story in this series. There is a parallel world, which is unkind to shifters. Some stories take place there; some take place in our world. Every story includes the extended group, but focuses on one couple in particular.

These are romantic, action-packed and entertaining.
Check them out - will you will glad you did!!

Loved this series

I read all of these books as ARCs as they were released. My reviews were voluntary.

Ansel's Game

I have only one complaint, it ended and now I have to wait for the sequel. Drats.

The book starts out telling us about Ruby and Griff, a brother and sister. Ruby has been responsible for Griff since their parents disappeared. When they are out at a swimming hole one day and Griff steps through a water fall and disappears, Ruby is left alone with no answers to be found.

Ansel is a bear shifter who is working as a carpenter. He has been crazy about Ruby ever since he worked on her house when she and her brother first came to town. She is very shy and so he has not managed to make any headway with her, but he keeps trying. He knows she is very lonely since her brother disappeared and he tries to keep an eye on her. He and his siblings defend Ruby when locals try to disparage her about her brother's disappearance. One day he is staring at her dilapidated mail box and almost runs her down. While this is not exactly the way to get someone's attention, he will take it. He shows up to replace her mailbox and she asks him to look at a few other things in the house. He manages to get himself invited to stay for dinner and the courtship is on.

Ansel and Ruby will grow close and find out there are things they have in common that make no sense. When a chance to rescue her brother comes up he is all in. But what does "all in" really entail?

Alec's Game

I loved Milla and John Alec's story. This book started where book 1 left off with Milla, Ruby, and Ansel passing through the waterfall into ...what? The scenery in front of them looks just like the place they left. Setting off to get a better view they climb as high as they can and see...nothing. Just trees, no towns, no cities, just wilderness. Now what?

They are surprised when Milla, uh, captures someone in their camp that night. John Alec the Warrior introduces himself and they start to learn more of the story of the land they have come to, and none of it sounds good. Shifters are lured to the land of Herta and enslaved by the inhabitants. John Alec fights for the shifters, though he is not one. It is also not going to be easy to get Ruby's brother, Griff, back through to earth. John Alec offers to lead them part of the way to the main city where he has seen Ruby's brother.

Milla and John Alec are both used to living and working alone most of the time. They start out abrasive and wary of the other, but that all changes one day when they go together to bathe in a river... Be prepared to fan yourself cos things get HOT. I will tell you no more. I can't wait to see what happens in the next book.

Matt's Game

I loved this story about Inka Keto and Matt Woods. Inka is sister to Anton, Kain, and Milla's identical twin. A grizzley bear shifter. She has recently moved into Milla's NYC apartment since Milla has taken to staying in Green Mills with the rest of the family. Inka feels safer in New York. She knows someone is watching her in Green Mills. Someone she can't see but who she knows means her harm.

Matt knocks on his neighbor's door going to borrow some wine glasses. He doesn't really know Milla all that well, but something seems off about her. She is dressed less than perfectly and talking with her mouth full of.. Lucky Charms? Later that night Matt goes to return the glasss and asks her if everything is ok, thats when he finds out she is Inka, Milla's twin. A great friendly is born. Matt is a scientist. He has had one goal since he was thirteen, and he was so close to achieving it. He has set up a lab in his spare bedroom and works constantly, or he did until he meets Inka. Now he finds himself watching movies and letting Inka steal his dinner.

These two have a chemistry you can almost feel. I loved the way Matt put Inka first and the way Inka recognized what he was doing and loved him for it, even when she didn't know that's what she was doing. But both of them have secrets and until those come out this relationship cannot move to the next level.

Kain's Game

Valentina has been pretty much alone in Herta since John Alex found his mate and moved to Earth to be with her. She doesn't blame her brother, she just wishes he would stop bringing that annoying Kain with him to assist on a raid. The rest of the Keto's were ok, but Kain's presence made her uncomfortable. The night she opened a portal to Earth in an attempt to escape several Hunters that had wounded her, it was just her luck that Kain found the portal and dragged her through to safety. Now she was living in his house while she recovered her strength.

Kain was not sure why Valentina's presence made him feel so skittish. She was just a woman and he had never had any problem finding willing women. Besides, she was off-limits. She had a partner on Herta, and she was John Alec's sister for cripes sake. Why did he want to wrap her up and never let her go? She could kick his butt in a second, she didn't bed or want his protection. And that's all it was, right? The need to protect her?

Griff's Game

This final book in the Shifter Fever series finally gives us the story of the boy/man who started it all. When Ruby's brother disappeared in the first book of the series she had no idea where he had gone. It was not until she met Ansel, a bear shifter, and his family that the existence of Herta and the enslavement of shifters was discovered.

When Griff was rescued from Herta he left behind someone important to him. Alayna was the daughter of the man who had imprisoned him and she not only saved his life by bringing him food and water, she saved his sanity by her very presence. When they were separated by his rescuers he vowed to return for her. If only it had been that easy.

Read the story of Griff and Alayna's young love, and how both their lives changed when Griff was rescued. Their lives will change even more when chaos and rebellion rock Herta and the two lovers may be the only thing that can bring peace and freedom to that world.

Well done story spanning across the individual stories. The way everything interacts in the worlds, and the love stories is very engaging. Shifter, fantasy, romance, action... a bit of everything.

entertaining series

I previously read these books, but listening to the audio version made the characters come to life and more enjoyable. Kudos to the narrator fir a job well done. This is a great collection if you're into shifters and against corrupt evil forces. The adventures of the Keto family are filled with laughs, intrigue, danger. and romance. I enjoyed seeing each family member find and fight for their mate. I really liked how the Ketos supported and loved each other no matter what
This will leave you with lots of heartwarming moments and feels. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review.

A must read!

This is one of the better shifter romance stories I've read in years. I highly recommend it. More than just your typical alpha-male romance stories. It involves a unique mystery that flows through all five stories.

Fun series

I really enjoyed this series, which is composed of 5 books. The premise is that there is a world, Herta, where shifters are discriminated against, enslaved and tortured. Throughout the books, we follow a couple (and their family- each book builds upon the other) as they try to save more shifters from this awful world and try to bring them to Earth. Plenty of heroics, lots of steam and just overall, great characters make this series a fun read and listen. While I would have loved for the audiobook to have a male and female narrator, Craig Hart did a great job playing multiple characters and infusing his narration with a good amount of emotion consistent with the story. I am loving Selena Scott's shifter stories. I bought her ebook but requested and received the audiobook and i'm happy to have the opportunity to both read and listen to these fun stories.

Great Series

Having read these books when they were released I wondered if listening to them was a good idea, would the narrator hit the note I heard in my head when I was reading them? The short answer is the narration by Craige A Hart definitely lifted these enjoyable books and took them to a higher level. The stories are all good don't get me wrong, the author imbued the characters with great personalities and each story is well-written and flows well. This is a series where you MUST listen to the books in the order they were released to fully understand them so another reason to grab this Collection!

The world-building is also good, very descriptive which really brings an extra level to the books.

I enjoyed all of these stories and being able to listen to the whole series one after the other was so good.

I was given this audiobook collection as a gift and am voluntarily writing my review.
