Lady Diana Canbury ist mit ihrer Equipage auf dem Weg zum Ball des Herzogs. An einer Kreuzung kommt ihre Kutsche zum Stehen, als plötzlich der Verschlag aufgerissen wird und ein bewaffneter Räuber zu ihr in die Kutsche springt.
