Publisher's Summary

Maverick trauma surgeon Ashton “Snow” Frost keeps the world at a distance, relying only on his three closest friends to keep him connected. But when a ghost from their past returns to Cincinnati, Snow stands to lose everyone he loves. Framed for murder and reeling from attacks on his friends, Snow is pushed to his breaking point.

Jude Torres won’t let the doc shatter. The paramedic has been attracted to the doctor since he first laid eyes on him at the hospital, even if the arrogant, solitary man doesn’t fit into any of his plans. One hot, reckless kiss shows that Snow isn’t who he appears to be. And one night together will never be enough. Jude will fight for the doc.

Fight to keep him whole. Fight to keep him safe. Fight to simply keep him.

A romantic suspense that leaves you wanting more!

This was a wonderfully addictive second book in this series. I don't think I'm not going to like any of the boys and their partners. By now we've met all the main players except for one, who will be introduced in the next book, so I think it's safe to say that all the stories are going to be wonderful.

That said, I thought Snow's story was going to be difficult to read. He is presented in a certain light in the first book that I wondered how it would work. I knew those behaviours would probably change, I didn't really expect it to go how it did, but I'm extremely happy it did. In hindsight, you can see it in book 1, with how Snow reacts to Lucas but you wondered if that was just a lifetime of friendship or something particular to do with Lucas' personality. In this book, you learn that it is both.

Jude. Sigh, Jude was just gorgeous and exactly what Snow needed. I loved watching Snow slowly open up around Jude, and then once he reached a certain point, he was all in, no hesitation. I loved it.

I also really enjoyed Lucas and Andrei playing such a big part of this book, but it was sad to see that Lucas is still being Lucas and standing in his own way. I can't wait to see that resolved.

I did a hybrid read of this one - part reading, part audio via whispersync for Kindle. I enjoyed the narrator, he did a good job. Not my absolute favourite, but he kept me coming back for more so that's saying something!

I really enjoyed this chapter, it was a very poignant book, running the full gamut of emotions. It was quite sad at one point, that moment very much affected the tone of the whole book, it was subdued, because that event was huge and had ramifications for all the boys. It was beautiful though and HOT!! Jude and Snow burnt up the pages, and there was still plenty of humour to break everything up.

I did enjoy book 1 slightly more, but that's only because Lucas and Andrei resonated with me for some reason, I just didn't want to let them go, and even in this book I zone in on the scenes with them. I guess they'll be my ultimate couple in this series.

So looking forward to reading the rest of the series!and how the authors deal with Rowe and his potential partner, and I can't wait to finally watch Hollis and Ian, I have a feeling that that one will be both extremely funny and emotional.

I WOULD NOT recommend starting with this book. To understand the dynamics between the boys you MUST start with book 1 Shiver. If you don't you just won't understand particularly Lucas and Snow's relationship and it will just seem weird! :)

Also, don't forget the follow up novella - Unbreakable Stories: Snow - for an extended look at this gorgeous cover, some very hot scenes, and a story that will have you laughing until you cry!

Action, danger, romance!

The Unbreakable Bonds series follows four loyal friends with Shatter focussing on Dr Ashton “Snow” Frost, a brilliant but cold surgeon who doesn’t do relationships, until he meets warm and friendly paramedic, Jude. When lives are endangered, the boys must keep each other safe. I’m enjoying this series, the characters and their backstories are well-formed, the action and danger keep the plot interesting, and the relationships are heartfelt. 🎧 Kenneth Obi really captures these characters well!
