Publisher's Summary

In the wake of a miracle of global proportions, National Peace Organization operative Paul Stepola has been exposed as a double agent, serving the Zealot Underground of people of faith in an atheistic world while sworn to persecute them. Now he and his family are on the run, targets of the very agency he has served for so many years.

Follow him, his wife Jae, and their young children, Brie and Connor, as they try to elude capture and sentencing for treason.

In this rapid-fire conclusion to the best-selling Soon series, the laws banning the practice of religion around the globe are on the brink of collapse. The tide is turning, but personal, family hostilities threaten to end in disaster before the world comes to its senses.

Excellent!

What an excellent novel series! It is full of intrigue, rich scriptural and biblical truths. Although not an end time series, it is a fun series to look at what could happen in the future if the Lord Jesus does not come for many decades.

Awesome book! Really makes you think about the fut

Would you consider the audio edition of Shadowed to be better than the print version?

I have not read the print version, but I would say, "No" because the narration falls far short on the foreign accents. It really detracts from the performance.

Did Steve Sever do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

He did a great job differentiating the characters, but the foreign accents were terrible. They left me confused at times as to who was speaking. Thank goodness those parts are limited, or else I would not listen to the book at all.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

We all really disliked Ranald. I like to think I'm pretty loving and forgiving, but if I were confronted with a man like that, it would take supernatural intervention to keep from trying to kill him! He is a truly unpleasant character, but I enjoy the fact that he provides talking points about loving enemies and being responsible for our reactions to people like that.

Any additional comments?

I love it when audiobooks are suspenseful! My kids and I really enjoyed the series. I especially loved leaving a cliffhanger when we had to exit the car!

Great Book

While listening you will forget that it is a Christian book with underlying Biblical Principles and Godly messages about the future. The book is set in the future after WWIII and the New World Government is trying to stamp out Christianity blaming religion for all the wars suffered in the past. It did not get past the reader that the main person trying to persecute the Christians that was converted to Christianity is named Paul. While the story is very futuristic and difficult to believe at times, it is well written and a nail biting thriller. This was Jenkins solo attempt after splitting with Lahaye. It is a good series and well worth listning too. It is scary to realize that things could get this bad, but it is up lifting to know that God will always give us the strength to survive for his good. The characters are wonderfully described and you feel you are on the run with them.
