Publisher's Summary

Danger inspires fierce passion when a serial killer threatens Chicago's Ferraro crime family in this novel in Christine Feehan's New York Times best-selling series.

Vittorio Ferraro is a man whose family loyalty knows no bounds. He would die for his siblings and the people they love, but what he really wants is to start a family of his own. Deep down, Vittorio has always known finding a woman who could ride shadows would be nearly impossible, let alone one who could accept his particular needs, but he never expected to find her in the middle of a kidnapping....

Grace Murphy has always been drawn to Vittorio Ferraro - or at least to the billionaire's public bad-boy persona. Now that she's under his protection and the sole focus of his intense caring, she can't help wanting to get as close to him as possible.

But Grace knows her presence is putting the entire Ferraro family in danger. Her monster of a brother will never let her go, but Vittorio has no intention of losing the woman whose shadow matches his own....

Brilliant

Shadow Warrior is the fourth book in the Shadow Riders series and focuses on Vittorio Ferraro and Grace Murphy. They meet when Vittorio saves Grace from being sold by her brother Hayden to cover a gambling debt but, Grace has been following him for years in the media inexpicably drawn to him. It's then the fireworks really begin with Vittorio instantly recognising Grace as the one for him. With danger closing in on all sides they must stand with the Ferraro family in order to protect Grace and the families interests from both Hayden who is a very dangerous adversary and the families greatest enemy the Saldi family. This is another action packed steamy romance that ticks all boxes and is very entertaining and I highly recommend it.

Where’s The Warrior

I love Christine Feehan’s books. So much so, that I am on the pre-order months before it is even due to be out. The first three of the “Shadow” series were great, so great that I end up listening to one of them at work almost everyday. From reading chapter 1 I was really excited - I thought this book was going to be just as good. What a let down. I did not understand the lack of character background in Psycho man and as far as I could tell there was no secondary villains in the book. Guiseppi and son don’t count cause something is going on there. I hope she does make all her new books BSDM books because that is wasted paper space. Really wasted space - I don’t want to know that men are hurting women and that women meekly stand by and tell them to punish them more. Nope that is definitely not my cup of tea. The narrator is marvelous! He reads so well and makes sense (no mumbling or speak strangely - too slow or too fast) and not using a funky dialect when they don’t speak the language.

Love the series, HATED this book

If you're into men manipulating women into doing things they don't want because "if you love me, you will" then by all means, enjoy. I despised every word of this book.

What Happened CF?!

Let me start by saying I LOVE CF's books. I pre-order her books when I can. This was one of them. The excitement of a new CF book has me checking release dates nearly every week. I have to admit her Shadow Rider series is not my favorite but I still listen because, it's Christine Feehan. The first 3 books held my attention from beginning to end and I loved them. Shadow Warrior is not a good one. It started off well but spiraled down hill. Too many things going on and it seemed Grace and Vittorio's story fell to the wayside. An afterthought. Between starting storylines for future books and mob politics, the story of Grace's crazy foster brother barely was mentioned (I thought that was the focus to build on Grace and Vittorio's relationship). Speaking of that, I did not like him at all. I like books with super alpha males and BDSM but he came across as very controlling and manipulative. The sex scenes were overdone and not very flattering. With over 2 hours left, I couldn't finish. And I always finish CF books. Jim Frangione was excellent as always.

Warrior?

I have loved this series clear up until this book. This is flat out manipulation and control of women and trying to convince them they should like it that way. Bleh. From needing permission to choose their own clothing to having cell phones taken away. BS. Bring back the story lines of the first three books and put this one in the trash can. This story was very under-developed. LOVE the narrator.

meh....Hopefully the next book will be better.

I have not only read all the books in this series, I have read every book in all the other series.....this is the first time I gave a CF book two stars. The book started off really good with Vittorio saving Grace and then Grace getting shot while saving Vittorio. The introduction of the evil foster brother Hayden gets you thinking there will be a lot of action trying to catch this guy who winds up being a serial killer. The plot was great if Christine followed through. Instead there were no great scenes of Hayden kidnapping Grace, or threatening Grace or a shoot out while he is trying to snatch Grace from Vittorio....nope none of that. Actually the only interation between Grace and Hayden were at the beginning and the end of the book. I'm still not intrigued at the reasons Hayden was so focused on Grace. This book is missing the action that I loved in the other Shadow books. Also, what's with the mob politics? It would have been nice if the threat of war stayed in the background and the storyline about Grace, Vittorio and Hayden was strengthened instead. By the end of the book we still don't know what's up with the mob and I was so glad the book ended that I didn't care. Also, what's up with Val and Emme? Their storyline stayed in the background but I'm hoping they will eventually get together. Overall, from the 1st chapter, I felt that I was getting set-up to read a thrilling book with action and romance. Nope, it was not thrilling, had no action and the romance was not exciting so I could only give it 2 stars. A very disappointing book in this series and I'm hoping the next book in this series will be better.

love her

I love her stories especially the shadow riders. l really love the characters and plot line, but I have a seriously hard time with the sex scene's, there are just way too many and they do nothing to further the story line. I can deal with one or two graphic ones and then just say that they have sex, but if I wanted porn I would just watch it.

Too much sex

I guess I like more story and less delving into her slick folds, wet heat, and his jerking member ...etc etc etc . I got bored with it and found myself rolling my eyes anxious to find the next sex scene complete. I really like the previous books I was quite surprised that I was so bored with this one and all the monotony of going through scene after scene after scene you're getting my point right? if you're not I can add a few more scene after scene after scene of their sexual liaisons. I will try another book by this author because the first three were so good but this one just grated on my nerves with the repetition. just saying.

Thought this would never end!!!

Started out great, then all the sex nonsense started up and since I hate that, I would have to stop what I was doing to skip over it and then try and continue on with the story. The story line was good but there was something I can't put my finger on that annoyed me. Not sure if it was the Italian or the arrogance of the characters, but I did not like this book at all. The main female character drove me nuts to be so accepting of anything and everything he demanded which is totally unrealistic.

I love the Ferraro family💕💖💕💖

Oh how I've missed those dominating Ferraro men. I missed how they fall in love as soon as they find their soulmates. I missed how protective they are of their women, family, or anyone who's precious to them. As with the other books, this one is fast-paced and full of action. Shadow Warrior captivated me from the start and I couldn't put it down until the end. Everything you've come to expect from the Shadow series is here plus so much more. Jim Frangione outdid himself with this one. CF wrote it and he performed it to perfection. I highly recommend this read, looking forward to the next installment. I hope she writes about the cousins too because we are running out of Ferraro men and women and I don't want this to end.

More Story Line - Less Sex

I've read many books from this author and when she's good she's great, but then tends to fall into filling the story with sex that leaves the story line just flat. Don't get me wrong I love her books, and a great sex scene but wish for more story and not a sex scene every other chapter that doesn't lend to progressing the book just simply used like a fluff filler. Hopefully the author will rely on her great writing skills more, because like i said when she's good she's fire! This book had a great story line, just got sidetracked to much. I was really looking forward to this brother's story, and it was a great one although I admit i skipped through a few of the last sex scenes to get to the actual story.
