Unfortunately, Cal has only put together the most bare-bones of systems. Publisher's Summary
Threadbare has not had a very good time of it recently. His little girl has been taken from him, and he must travel the kingdom, finding allies old and new, living and dead, to help him rescue Celia.
Fortunately, he's got a voice now and access to all those fun skills he couldn't before use. He may only be a very small teddy bear, but he's got the persistence to plow through dungeons of rascally raccoon monsters, the wiles to turn a town full of undead on its ear, and the sanity to survive an encounter with a mediocre old one.
However, Threadbare's little girl is growing up now, and her own path is hard and brutal. Will she even have a use for her old teddy bear when they meet again? Will they both survive the encounter?
Warning: Contains profanity, violence, and a creepy villain who likes tentacles way too much.

Another fantastic entry to the series!
This book series really has come into it's own with this book. The world opens up to the teddy bear known as Threadbare as he made himself a mouth in order to speak and use his jobs. The writing was very fluid, never felt halting or odd, and every once in a while there are references thrown in that have gotten a groan of laughter more than once. I cannot wait for the continuation of this series!

Read Small Medium first, tho this is great
I know it sounds weird, but I highly recommend reading the Small Medium trilogy first - I did it by accident, and because of it, I came into this trilogy feeling way more invested in the characters and the land.
This book is great, a worthy successor to Stuff and Nonsense. I love what Threadbear has become and what he grows into over this book; I love all the good guys, and I even love the bad guys in their own way. This book contains the sort of cleverness we have come to expect from this author, and I can't recommend it enough.
I'll probably end up saying this a lot, but I love the reader - he's very talented and invested, good at doing lots of distinctive, consistent voices and accents (tho I feel like Madeline is written Australian and he goes for something else) and I can't get enough of his game-announcements voice. So much better than just reading it, even if the repetitive level-ups occasionally get a bit tedious.

Dark and terrible end
For a book that started up beat and fun in book 1, book 2 takes a hard right turn into the abyss. No real hero work, just always getting his ass kicked. Then you have alll this god damn build up and the author knifes you in the back and twists. When a author does stupid crap like this, there is ZERO point to get invested into ANY characters no matter what, because they will do something like they did for the shock factor!

Great Second Book
Continues on just where the first book left off and remains amazing the whole way through. All of the characters were able to hold my attention and leave me wanting more of their exciting adventures and group dynamic. Loved all the creative thought and fun that was put into the skills of the characters and the different settings. Can’t wait for the next book.

A step down from book 1, but ok
I felt this book took a step down from the first book. Part of this feeling comes from the realization that the novelty has worn off. Its still funny here and there. It still has some intrigue with the king, the demon, the daughter, and the bear, but leveling up and new skills became old....which is honestly my main complaint with many books in the genre. I understand this is litRPG, but I don't need to get hammered with stats(...and in this case, all stats the character has) every 10mins. Once every 2 hours would be nice....or when something significant happens....otherwise, it just feels like a 10 year old trying to fill out a 10-page essay for homework.
Can I recommend? If you like the first, this is ok and continues the story...so ok, I can recommend.

I lost my way...
This middle episode lost some charm for me, and I lost some of the plotline. I wasn't keen on some of the action, and confused by some characters. I didn't care for some of the voices. The cursing was unnecessary. However, it is still a fascinating world and leveling system. I will need a break before tackling the last volume.

excellent
is it by far one of the best litrpg is I've ever listened to. I was especially impressed by the nod to HP Lovecraft. that entire chapter was hilarious and impressed me because it's been a long time since I've had to look up a word used in a fiction. that aside very happy with the development of the characters and the world mechanics. I am also loving the writing there is a great balance of prose and literature to go with the gamelit tropes. also the fact that you've managed to find so many puns with the word raccoon guarantees I'm going to listen to this series all over again once I finished it. On to the next book!
