Publisher's Summary

In Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus, now expanded with new bonus content, Nabeel Qureshi describes his dramatic journey from Islam to Christianity, complete with friendships, investigations, and supernatural dreams along the way.

Providing an intimate window into a loving Muslim home, Qureshi shares how he developed a passion for Islam before discovering, almost against his will, evidence that Jesus rose from the dead and claimed to be God. Unable to deny the arguments but not wanting to deny his family, Qureshi struggled with an inner turmoil that will challenge Christians, Muslims, and all those who are interested in the world's greatest religions.

Engaging and thought-provoking, Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus tells a powerful story of the clash between Islam and Christianity in one man's heart - and of the peace he eventually found in Jesus.

The New York Times best-selling Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus has been expanded to include:

  • A revised foreword
  • A new afterword by Mark Mittelberg and reflection by Nabeel's wife
  • An audiobook exclusive conversation between Nabeel and his close friend and roommate David Wood, discussing Nabeel's decision to follow Christ, how his parents found out, and much more
  • Expert contributions from scholars and ministry leaders on each section of the audiobook included in the audiobook companion PDF download, contributions previously included only in the ebook edition
  • An appendix included in the audiobook companion PDF download tackling the objection that Ahmadi Muslims are not true Muslims

PLEASE NOTE: When you purchase this title, the accompanying PDF will be available in your Audible Library along with the audio.

A mirror

What a love that God has for us all. How great it is that He helps those who seek Him, who seek the truth.

A great insight for me to learn about the faith, customs and culture that influence some of Islamic brothers. Great to be challenged, to question my own faith, to delve deeper as to why I believe what I believe and to atleast prepare myself to have an informed discussion with others who are willing to engage in conversation about the reasons for Christianity.

Great to hear about the miracles, the friendships, the monunutemal challenges faced and experienced by Nabeel - and how God loved him so much as to reach out to him through these all.

Also enjoyed the audio clips/monologues and discusions with Nabeel and about Nabeel post his passing.

RIP Nabeel. And thank you and thank YOU for you love us all so much

INCREDIBLE!!! This book affected me greatly!!!

I honestly don't have the words to adequately review this book, or describe how greatly it affected me. I, too, grew up in a Muslim household and found Christ later in life. My family life was nowhere near as devout as Nabeel's. Rather than immersed in the Quran and daily Islamic prayer and study, my childhood was oppressed by the cultural implications and effects of a Muslim upbringing. As the oldest of six girls who lived in a vanilla Midwestern suburb (no boys) my father resented me big time. My childhood, especially the teenage years, were filled with abuse, neglect, strict rules to follow that made no sense, and the message that girls and women were unworthy of much. I struggled big time with our "cafeteria Islamic" faith, which basically consisted of not talking to boys, not eating pork, and not uttering the name of Jesus or celebrating Christian holidays like Christmas and Easter. It was a miserable existence, and after my disinterested father arranged a marriage for me at the age of 19 to a man twice my age that no one had ever met and who lived on the other side of the country, I left home to be on my own.

It wasn't until I was in my mid-30s that I found Christ. My experience was a more gentler, kinder discovery than Nabeel's. But so much of what he wrote about with regard to family dynamics, struggle against past beliefs, and the division Christian faith caused resonated deeply with me. Most profound for me were his revelations that despite all the hardship he went through, God made it known to him clearly that it "wasn't about you." Meaning, there is a bigger purpose in his salvation.

What an amazing testimony he gave! I listened nearly straight through, enraptured by every word. It affected me so deeply. It reminded me not to ever take a single blessing for granted. Today, I look back with awe at how much peace, blessing, success, love, and opportunity the Lord provided specifically to me, for me. For no other reason that my True Father in Heaven adores me.

I sobbed at the end of this book, so moved and humbled and grateful to have stumbled upon this book. It stayed with me a very, very long time, and I know it will continue to remain with me for many weeks and months to come. Most moving was the commentary at the end of the book by his wife, Michelle. I know she's aware of just how profoundly this book and Nabeel's story will impact the world. I so very much look forward to meeting Nabeel one day in the Kingdom of Heaven!!!

A life-changing book

I'll never again see Islam or Christianity the same. This is one of the most compelling cases for the Gospel I've ever experienced. Thank you Nabeel, I'm grateful for what you did for this world while you were here. Thank you David Wood, you both have opened my eyes.

PHENOMENAL

Phenomenal book, phenomenal! What an amazing story of friendship, family, and an honest pursuit of truth. Truly powerful, this book. It's intellectual, logical, witty, emotional, and raw from beginning to end.

Narration by Nabeel takes it over the top as you hear the story from his soul in his own voice.

Beyond highly recommend.

outstanding

This is a profound book. Nabeel is a devout American Muslim, his father had a career in the Navy. He comes from a loving family, adores his community and Islam is all he has known.

He is comfortable in his life until he meets a fellow student who becomes as close as a brother to him. this man, Dave, is a Christian.

This is a story of a man's love for Islam (and it is palpable) but as he seeks truth and uncovers everything in his own religion while trying to disprove Christianity -he encounters Jesus.

Nabeel faces a terrible choice-- betray everything and everyone in his community by embracing Christianity or rejecting it outright.

He chooses Christ - because in the end it's not about Nabeel, or us - -it is about Jesus.

I loved this book, because it addressed the sorrow, the joy of our own unsaved ignorance, and a great joy of salvation.

Could you give up everything, home, family, your life to follow Jesus? Could you suffer for Him?

I am glad I read this book, it made me think and I highly recommend it.

Genuine, brilliant and hearftelt!

This book is not only a powerful testimony of the truth of Jesus but also a touching and eye opening account of a muslim family way of life and the grip of islam on the core identity of a muslim believer, alongside other key points. Nabeel has managed through this book to dissipate much of my prejudices and fear of muslim people and put in me compassion for them and a desire to seek to understand them in the context of their culture. Instead of fearing them and rejecting them, the true follower of Jesus should seek to win them for the true kingdom of God, in love and relentless patience, just like David did with Nabeel.
