Publisher's Summary

Secrets broke her heart...and have now come back from the grave to haunt her.

A new series from NYT and USAT best-selling author, Michelle M. Pillow!

Lorna Addams’ life is not turning out like she expected. After a very public embarrassment, she finds it difficult to trust her judgment when it comes to new friendships and dating. She might be willing to give love a second chance when she meets the attractive William Warrick, if only she could come to terms with what her husband did to her and leave it in the past.

How is a humiliated empty nest widow supposed to move on with her life? It’s not like she can develop a sixth sense, séance her ex back, force him to tell her why and give her closure. Or can she?

Fun and kept your attention

Fun story. It moved along very quickly and held my attention. The main reader was excellent but I HATED THE VOICE OF WILLIAM. It was very creepy and didn't even seem to match the character they were trying to portray. Aside from that enjoyed the book.

Second chances

Oh I absolutely loved listening to this story! The narrator, Rebecca does a fabulous job portraying Lorna’s voice. I listened to a faster speed of 1.8. That’s just my preferred speed. Lorna finds out during her husbands funeral something scandalous! Like SHUT the DOOR scandalous. We see her character evolve and she becomes friends with Vivien and Heather. I absolutely love the trio and their friendship!! I’m looking forward to listening to the next installment! I received a free copy of this audiobook, and I’m reviewing it voluntarily.

Well written and wonderful Characters

This is a wonderful story! I am not a huge fan of witches but the way this one comes about is good! It didn’t bother me. I was so invested in the actual characters that when the witch stuff came around? It fit right into the story seamlessly. This one revolves around Lorna. She gets gob smacked with news at her husbands funeral. She moves and meets some new girls. Heather and Vivian befriend her and we learn a bit about them as well. Enter William...Heathers brother. The relationship between William and Lorna is sweet and adorable. These two together are great. I am assuming the other stories In this series will showcase the other two women’s stories. I did listen to this on audio. Rebecca Cook is the narrator. She does a good job.

Nice story

I enjoyed this story of second chances and magical experiences. The narrator threw me off a little because the different voices done was just confusing especially when she did the guys voice. But overall I did enjoy listening to this story.

Totally Enjoyed this 40+ Book

I did love this book, especially the uniqueness of the story. Lorna, Heather and Vivian were all very likable. Story was fun, some horror, friendship, magic and a romance. The romance was not over graphic, which I totally appreciated. Heather’s brother William was equally likable. Looking forward to Vivian’s book, Order of Magic next. Hope it comes soon No problem with the narrator. Rebecca Cook did a very nice job.

Fantastic

This is such a fantastic story with a main character that is able to put herself back together stronger than ever. I loved both the journey that she went through and the friendships that she built. The world building was second to none and I found myself cheering her on for the whole book

Mystery, magic and a pinch of sweet romance

A great story with mystery, magic and a pinch of sweet romance. Lorna goes through an unbelievably devastating end to her 20 yr marriage, but as one door closes (or slams shut, in this case) another one opens. She starts a new chapter in life and finds the female friendships that bond them like sisters. With a little Hallmark-channel-style mystery, the friends explore their bond and the magical powers they've been given. Add in a hero that is the epitome of a good guy, and you've got the perfect amount of sweet romance. I enjoyed Second Chance Magic and look forward to the next in the series! Narrator Rebecca Cook was new to me, and I enjoyed her performance too. I received a free review copy of the audiobook in exchange for an unbiased review.
