Publisher's Summary

Laws of Engagement for dealing with an Ex:

Rule #1: Don't give into temptation for a kiss just to see if they taste the same.

Rule #2: No clothing removal. Seriously, don't take them off.

Twelve years and too many pairs of stilettos later, Shaelyn Lawrence is back where she started: New Orleans. She's returned only to take care of her grandmother, and after that? She's out, hopefully long before she sees irresistible Brady Taylor, the boy who stomped all over her heart. But when a family member approaches her for help, there's only one person she can to turn to...and he's just as infuriatingly sexy as she remembers. Oh boy.

New Orleans Detective Brady Taylor has his sights on the finish line: getting promoted to sergeant. Nothing and no one is getting in his way - except that he didn't prepare for her return, the girl who left him without a word. Resisting Shaelyn has never been his strong suit, and now all he can think about is stripping her out of her f--K-me heels and kissing the lipstick off her sassy mouth. And when she asks him for help, he's forced to decide between his career and the woman he's never stopped loving.

Rule #3: Don't even think about falling in love again...

Say You'll Be Mine is the first full-length novel in the NOLA Heart series, but can be listened to as a standalone. If you like quirky characters, hot cops, and steamy scenes that will have you fanning your kindle, then you're in the right place. Things are about to get hot down in the Big Easy...

Horrible Narration Ruined the Entire Book

If there is a bargain basement for narrators, that would be where the publisher found this one. OMG, she is just awful!!! Absolutely no acting ability at all. My mom did a better job reading bedtime stories. The book might have been ok if they'd picked a decent narrator but I'll never know because this horrendous performance will be burned in my brain. It's a good thing it was an audible escape pick so I didn't waste a credit. I couldn't even get to chapter 4 before I had to trash it. I just couldn't stand it. I listen to probably 50-75 books a month so I'm not going to waste my time listening to someone who can't act and butchers a southern accent. I will definitely not be picking any more books read by Jae Delane. She should pick a different profession or go back to acting school.

Do Not Waste Your Time

This might have made a passable short story, but it took too long to get to the point. Once again, the narrator has no idea of what a New Orleans accent sounds like.

I Enjoyed it

Simple and sweet love story it wasn't over the top, it wasn't overly sexual. I'd read more from this author.

Not Enough Story

The narrator doesn’t know what a New Orleans accent sounds like. There’s too much internal angst and dialogue, to make the story longer, and the characters take too long to get to the point. I finally gave up and said I don’t care enough to be bored for another 33 chapters.

A Read Worth Repeating

I just finished listening to Say You'll be Mine by Maria Luis and I love it! it's definitely a book worthy of repeat reading or in this case listening to. I love a story of rekindling old love. This story of Shaelyn Lawrence coming back to New Orleans to take care of her ailing grandmother and running into her old flame Brady Taylor who is now on the police force. I thought this was funny, and sexy. such a smart and entertaining book.

Too angsty

The narration for this book was fantastic! All the accents & voices were great. The story line itself was good. However, the heroine was way too wishy-washy with too much unnecessary internal angst. I understand wanting to extend a story or create roadblocks for the couple to overcome, but I just kept getting annoyed with her internal conflict.

Hooked from the beginning!

I started three different audiobooks before this one and just couldn't get hooked, but this one hooked me from the beginning! the characters were great and the story held me from beginning to end. I love second chance stories, but I'm also very critical of them. I hate when a character is expected to forgive and forget just because the other person shows back up. However, that was not the case with this book. Both of the characters were great, and they truly deserved a second chance. I love the other characters that were introduced in this book and can't wait to find out more about them throughout the rest of the series! The narration was very well done, and I won't hesitate to listen to more! The pacing, intonation, and emotion were all great!

Good clean story line

Good clean storyline. It was hard to follow at times but that may have been because I was multitasking. Good story
