Freaking love this book and recommend everyone gives it a chance! I had the pleasure of reading this as an ARC (free for an honest review) and gosh darn it am I obsessed!

I think this might be my favourite A.L. Jackson book so far. Full of tension and trauma, yet so beautifully sweet.
Actually, not that sweet….
Salem: “Touch me and I will stab you.” Jud: “bend over darlin’.”
They were both trying to heal/escape their pasts, and prepared to do anything it took to protect the ones they loved.
And they all lived happily ever after.

Oh this one was intense. Got a little stagnant in the middle but then came together in the end. Narrators were perfect.

Absolutely a must to listen. The performance is out of this freaking world. Poetic and powerful, loved it. The story of redemption, trust and broken love is well developed. Jud’s depth of emotion and brokenness makes you swoon and cry. First book 📖 from this author and I am completely taken by the poetic prose. A fabulous holiday read. Thanks 🙏 for this little bit of sunshine made out of black freaking magic 🪄
