Publisher's Summary

Pretending she's her twin gets complicated when Hope is shipwrecked with a handsome castaway. When rescue comes, will she risk her heart to confess the truth, or will they part forever?

Pretending to be her sister, Hope Everly finds an adventure, at last. The Caribbean's warm waters and tropical islands fulfill nearly all her dreams. When an excursion to visit another island with a naturalist expedition is interrupted by a storm, Hope is stranded on a desert island where she and her fellow castaways are dependent on a handsome stranger for their survival.

Alejandro Córdoba, trapped and alone on the island long enough to give up all dreams of rescue, knows nothing of what has become of his war-torn homeland or his family. When he finds the beautiful Miss Everly washed up on the shore, along with her companions, he does not know if their arrival is a blessing or a curse.

Hope's behavior, acting one way with Alejandro and another with her friends, further confuses things when they begin to fall in love. If rescue ever comes, will telling Alejandro the truth mean losing him forever?

This is the third book in the Inglewood series and can be listened to as a stand-alone sweet regency romance.

unique and delightful, clean Regency

loved Sally Britton's latest Inglewood series installment. hope Everly is impersonating her twin sister grace as she sets sail with friends on an adventure to the Caribbean. they are shipwrecked on an island where they meet Spanish gentleman Alejandro Cordoba, who has been stranded there for over a year. his expertise can help them survive, but Hope's friends cling desperately to their Regency social customs. at times lighthearted, at other times infuriating, and always sweet and swoony- hope tries to navigate containing her ruse and her friends' social expectations. i laughed, cried, yelled, and loved this story. and the narrator did an outstanding job! perfection.

The most original story setting ever!

This is the third book in the Inglewood series. Miss Everly has many facets to her personality in the story but is tenacious in the pursuit of her goals. As the story unfolds, we see she has an endearing, vivacious spirit and yearns for adventure. She doesn’t want to settle down until she has had her fill. She meets her match in the book and is willing to give up everything to be with the man she has fallen in love with. The problem is two fold. First she is pretending to be her twin sister Grace, and secondly she cannot be sure if the man she loves will have her. I love that she is strong and adventurous. That she isn’t afraid to be more than a pampered lady in a drawing room. She thinks for herself and shows pluck, courage and innovation in her challenges. The reader of this book Marion Hussey was able to draw me in from the onset. Her voice is pleasant to listen to and she kept my attention with her inflection, voice changes and smooth reading pace. Definitely a book for those who love a clean regency romance, want a change in storyline and want a fun original setting.

Delightful and engaging!

Oh my heart! I was swept away completely while listening to this enjoyable story. I've read and listened to the previous books in this story and must admit that I was quite anxious to have the chance to enjoy Hope's story. She and Grace are twin sisters. In Discovering Grace, Hope was a bit dramatic but I had hopes that when I was able to finally read her book and see into her mind and learn more about her character, I would come to like her a lot more. And guess what? I did! I really enjoyed getting into her mind and seeing her perspective. And this book, was amazing! I listened to an audiobook version and really enjoyed it. I didn't have a lot of listening time so I listened in small chunks of time and found myself thinking about it constantly and wondering what would come next in the story. I really enjoyed the narrator and her ability to bring this story to life as well as creating depth for the different characters. Alejandro Córdoba is our hero in this book and my oh my...if you were to be stranded on an island with several people he is somebody you would want on your side for sure! I loved the first meeting between Hope and Alejandro, and the surprise of him discovering that she was not the only survivor to wash up on the shore. Hope is still hiding a secret from those she has been traveling with and Alejandro. But I loved her knowing smirk and twinkle in her eye when that secret was brought to the forefront of the story and her thoughts. And most especially when it had to do with her real name, Hope, and Alejandro. Oh, how I loved those moments. She's a bit of a mischievous character and I thoroughly enjoyed the light her character brought to this story. There are several secondary characters that I just didn't much care for. And several other secondary characters that I thought were wonderfully written and added into the story. Well done Sally Britton on another great book in the Inglewood series. The ending was utterly delightful. And I look forward to the next couple books in this series about a group of friends. I have loved every minute I've spent with this group of friends and look forward to many more minutes in their company. Content: Clean. Some kisses. Some moments of peril and danger due to the setting of the story. Happy Listening!!!

What an adventure!

I LOVED this book. It was so fun seeing proper England in a deserted island setting! And I think Hope is one of my favorites. Her spunk and fire add so much to the book! Definitely recommend it! The narrator did a FANTASTIC job!! The accents and characters were perfect!

All the Stars!

I LOVED it. There are very few books that have 180-reversed my opinion about a character. I thought Discovering Grace was beautiful but really didn't care for Hope going into Saving Miss Everly. Grace's attempts to be more like her adventurous and outgoing twin were endearing. Seeing the love and affection and attempts to be like the other twin as mutual from Hope's POV was equally so. "Grace would not ask the question on the tip of Hope’s tongue. Grace would swallow the question and withdraw as she was bid, respecting the social customs with which they had been raised. But Hope was not Grace." There's a scene between Hope and Alejandro that made me sit up straight and say, "oh!" I was so caught off guard and swept up in that tiny moment between them. And this is why there's such a term as Latin Lover. Where can I get an Alejandro? (Holding up my hand as I reread that scene. Sigh...😍) The series as a whole is fantastic and will be on my to re-read list. Isaac's story cannot get here fast enough.

Another wonderful story in the Inglewood Series!

Story: (5 stars) A story that you don't want to end! A bit of a character study in how people in the Regency might react to being shipwrecked on a deserted island, plus a romance, all tied into one wonderful story! Well-written and gripping! Narration: (5 stars) I believe I have given Ms. Hussey 4.5 stars in the past, but in this book, she has proven that her Spanish is excellent and this ability to speak in other languages/accents raises her to a solid 5 star voice actor, in my opinion. She has a wonderfully versatile voice: men sound like men, women sound like women. She acts this (and the other stories I've heard her read) with just the right amount of emotion without overacting. Her rhythm, cadence, expressions, pronunciation is all excellent! I'll happily listen to anything read by her!

Clean, unique, regency romance

This was delightful to read. I was glad to hear the other side of the Everly twins story. The idea of being stranded on an island was awesome. I loved hearing all the things that Alejandro did to survive and keep himself sane. This had lots of action and just enough romance to keep me happy. The narrator is AWESOME. She did a great job changing her voice for the different characters and she did good on the Spanish and accents. I received a free copy of this but the review is in no way influenced by that. This was so different from all the other regency books I’ve read/listened to- you will love it!

This book was such a different regency full of swashbuckling ship rides and daring adventures. I had so much fun listening to it and enjoyed imagine myself with Hope on her high adventure!

Britton's Best Adventure Yet

Saving Miss Everly is an exciting book as Hope travels to the Caribbean and is shipwrecked! Hiding behind the mask of Grace, readers are able to see Hope in a whole new way. After reading Discovering Grace (highly recommend) and Saving Miss Everly we find that both sisters are a lot more similar than they originally lead us and themselves to believe. Being apart allows them to stop focusing on what makes them different and find their true selves. Very well written. Excellent narration. I can't wait for the next book in the series!

I loved this story!

Possessing a spirit of adventure that will not be quenched, Hope Everly sets out on her first voyage, disguised as her twin sister, Grace. Compelled to continue the ruse for longer than she ever imagined, she discovers that there is more adventure in store than even she bargained for. Trying to display all of the qualities her sister is known for, yet requiring all of her own to endure the circumstances ahead, Hope needs her namesake quality more than ever. I loved this story! The spirit of adventure that this book exudes & the need to maintain hope when faced with dire circumstances creates a setting that pulls you directly into the story. The character development is fantastic. I love that it is written from two points of view. We can understand all of the reasons driving both our hero & heroine in the choices they make. The internal struggles & exhaltions that they experience. This story had everything that I would wish for in a romance adventure. Top of the list: a dashingly suave hero. I cannot adequately describe how much I loved Alejandro’s character. Sigh. Ladies... this man is my favourite of Britton’s hero’s so far! I’m giving no spoilers away other than that all Britton’s fans are simply going to love him. Second: a spunky heroine. I loved getting a better insight into Hope’s character. In the previous books that she featured in, I was hesitant to like her. She really comes into her own with this story. All of the characteristics that had previously only been glimpsed come into full bloom & we get the whole picture of who Hope Everly really is. I thought it was superbly done. Third: characters that we just love to hate. Or at least despise. As in any good story, there has to be something of a villain. Without being truly evil, the despicable characters of this novel were superbly done. Finally: a wonderful conclusion without it really being an ending. I am so looking forward to the next book in this series - however it was wonderful to get a glimpse into what the “lives” of these characters will be further down the road. This is a wholesome, clean read. No gory details, no graphic content. Perfect for anyone who enjoys Regency Era novels with a side of adventure. I think Britton has done a fantastic job at delivering us another Regency Era Romance from such a refreshing angle. Any book can take us on a journey - a great story though, takes us on an adventure. This is a great story. Enjoy!
