Wie jedes Jahr ziehen Samichlaus & Schmutzli in ihr Häuschen beim Waldweiher, um von hier aus die Kinder zu besuchen. Bevor sie sich auf den Weg ins Städtchen machen können, haben Samichlaus, Schmutzli, Esel Benjamin, Eichhörnchen Nikki und Rotkehlchen Pieps allerdings eine Menge Abenteuer zu bestehen.
Zuerst macht sich Esel Benjamin an der Weihnachtsdekoration zu schaffen, die Schmutzli am Waldhäuschen befestigt hat. Und dann poltert zu allem Übel auch noch Santa Claus durch den Kamin und behauptet, er sei der echte Samichlaus.
