I loved the writing. The story and the narration it’s an avid audio book listener and lover of storytelling I will always say the way I can tell if I loved it if I am confident I’ll read it again and that I wish there was more of it. In this case it’s truth is that of both instances. However there was one thing I would like to note in discord is that a little warning advice might be needed addressing a few sensitive topics raised. Whilst I’m not easily taken aback with most topics in books I don’t require hea every time afterall one of my favourite books was the book thief… I do admit this did have me gasp out loud and that’s absolutely something I love about stories that can inspire reactions and especially emotional responses others might need a heads up. Other than this I absolutely will recommend it.

Great narration, single voice but he does a good job. The stories are equally sweet and dramatic with lovable characters juxtaposed against a few horrible villains. Well researched, the descriptions of the clothing are gorgeous. Good pacing with satisfying endings to each story.

The storyline is reminiscent of Georgette Heyer's famous enjoyable light hearted reads. Unfortunately this book was laden with ponderous, predictable, repetitive descriptive passages that detracted from the plot. And the characters were so one dimensional they were hardly believable. I completed listening to this box set only because I had paid for it.
