Publisher's Summary

Dylan frowned, "Who are you?" He demanded in a whisper.

"I'll tell you later. For now, kiss me."

He hadn't thought that Blake could get any closer. He was wrong. Blake's body seemed to melt against his, relaxing so that every curve, every line, every inch, was pressed together. He could feel it through the layers of clothing. When Blake kissed him this time, it was strangely slow. He captured Dylan's lips and held them with a firm tenderness that made Dylan's head spin. It had been so long since he had kissed anyone. It had been so long since he had been this close to anyone. He had forgotten what it felt like.

Dylan's mission: assist his Navy SEAL team as they infiltrate enemy territory and gather intel on the new shifter pack called the Shadow Pack through distant observation.

Blake's mission: infiltrate and live within the Shadow Pack and gather any useful information and data from the inside as one of them.

One is a SEAL, and the other is a spy. Their missions were never supposed to cross, yet one fateful accident during a full moon intertwines their fates. Dylan finds himself in the middle of the Shadow Pack and under the charade that he's Blake's mate. They must learn to live and work together, or risk exposing both of their covers, and Dylan's team. Blake is charming, flirty, cocky, and irritating; yet Dylan finds himself strangely drawn to the man. Blake's strength of will and patience are put to the test, but Blake is patient, and he's not willing to give up so easily.

Excellent Read

This is the beginning of the love story of Blake the alpha wolf shifter with the cocky facade and Dylan the somewhat confused omega wolf shifter and there is much to love about these two. They both have a strong sense of duty that is only outdone by the strong attraction to each other they share. This book starts their adventures with the shadow pack that they are sent to investigate, although things don't go exactly to plan, with Dylan ending up in the pack with Blake and they pretend to be mates. Although pretending doesn't seem to be so taxing and it just might actually be the truth. I highly recommend this audio book it is well worth the listen and sets out the world as I imagined it when I read the book. I am very much looking forward to second book.

A Great Story and a Decent Narration

What did you love best about Sailing Deep?

I loved the blend of military and spy work. There was a lot of Dylan learning all about Blake, and Blake learning about how much Dylan had changed. The spy parts were kept vague enough to be believable and keep the story going. Dylan is definitely breaking the mold of the traditional Omega that is usually seen in Romance.

Have you listened to any of Robert G. Davis’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No, I haven't.This performance was very nice, however. I found his narration a little stilted sometimes, but he sounded natural when he spoke for a character. I could always tell that there was a different character speaking easily.

If you could take any character from Sailing Deep out to dinner, who would it be and why?

The Alpha of the Shadow Pack (I can't remember how to spell his name). I could not get enough of him and that was a disappointment that I couldn't see interactions between him and other characters. I sincerely hope that Noah gives us more of him in future books!

Any additional comments?

There is a part of the book that is dubious consent (if not out right rape). Please keep this in mind when picking up this book. Skip the scene if it makes you uncomfortable.
I had first read this book and now listening to it, it brought back the difficulties I had reading this book. I don't like manipulation. I didn't see why Blake kept that fact that Dylan had known Blake years ago wasn't divulged. Then again, Blake does seem to like being the one with the secret. It does fit with his personality to play the 'game' to see if Dylan can figure out the rules.
Sometimes it smacked close to Stockholm Syndrome, but I honestly don't hold that against the story. It could have turned out so much worse, but Noah Harris wrote his characters and scenes masterfully. I was kept just on the edge of being uncomfortable and frustrated right there with Dylan, as well as cocky and self-assured as Blake.
A well narrated and written story! I highly recommend!

not a shifter story, not an action story, it's a M/M romance story

The amount of shifter material and action adventure in this story coulf fit into a thimble. o. Nice book to have if you like M/M romance because that is bulk of the book.

Wolf Mates

This audio was very enjoyable. The story line flowed smoothly and the narration was good.
I liked the thought of a dragon being noble and not greedy. This story kept you guessing from the time of a dragon introduction until the end.
Thank you Noah for letting me listen to this audio.

Good listen.

I enjoy listening to this story. Dylan and Blake's story isn't a typical Alpha/Omega storyline. I like that about this story. Then Noah Harris also added twist and turns that just add to the story. I think that Robert G. Davis did a good job with the narration. Definitely kept me entertained and I like listening to this story.

Great narration!

A complimentary audio was provided in exchange for an honest review.

This was a light shifter story with cute characters. I wasn't sure exactly why Dylan and Blake were undercover with this particular pack. Aside from that I enjoyed this. It's not something to be taken seriously and I found a lot of joy in this fluffy romance. 😊 3 stars. Recommend for those looking for a light, easy, and not to be taken seriously read.

The narration! STELLAR!!! AWESOME! I could listen to him forever! I need to find more by him. Highly recommend the narrator. He was able to put character in to the characters, vocal talent was great.

Loved it!

I absolutely adore the couple. They are so cute together. I love the story and the narrator's voice. The narrator is new-to-me. His voice is so soothing that I wanted to finish this in one sitting. He was also able to give a distinct voice for each character.

I enjoyed both the story and listening to the narrator so much that I bought the next audiobook.

I definitely recommend it and will continue with the series.

powerful

I liked that the long held crush comes to fruition. At times. I questioned Blake's forced taking of Dylan and didn't agree with that- non con or dub con!!! They did make a good team professionally and personally. I liked when fake turned real. The female dragon has great potential to be a real villain, that her mate is curbing at present. More to come. The narrator was good. I voluntarily listened and am giving an honest review.

Great audible!

This was a great book but it’s not a standalone. I am definitely interested enough to want to continue the series! Even tho I liked the narrator, his voice didn’t vary much so I wasn’t sure who was speaking until it was stated. Overall tho, I liked the audible!

as good as the ebook

The story is always 4 or 5 stars, because if I wouldn't like the story as ebook, I wouldn't listen to the audiobook.

The performance from the narrator is also very important for me. I can't listen to a lot, because my English as a non-native-speaker isn't so perfect to follow a whole story over hours, when the narrator speaks too fast or too sloppy. Normally I have to SEE the person, who is talking to me in English. It took me a little bit, to come into the narrator, but at the end, it worked. I only have to take a few breaks between. I'm just not yet finish with the book, but I listen enough to give a review.

PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!!

Okay

A okay story and could have done with a more developed storyline and characters to have more impact.
