Publisher's Summary
Sometimes it takes a stranger to see you as you really are. Born and raised on sprawling Texas land, Margaret O'Brien prides herself on her competence as a rancher. But her father believes she's made for more than just dawn-to-dusk work. He wants her to have the love of a good man, to raise children, to build a life. But Margaret gave up such dreams years ago. She's convinced no man would have her, that the ranch is her life now.
So when Margaret's father hires Daniel Cutler as a new foreman, she's frustrated and suspicious. Then an overheard conversation links him with a gang of bank robbers, and she's downright worried. Daniel swears he's not involved, but Margaret's not convinced. She knows the man still has secrets. But would a criminal be so kind and talk so convincingly of his faith?
As a series of tragic "accidents" threatens all she holds dear, Margaret must decide what to trust: her own ears, her best judgment...or what her heart keeps telling her.
From the author of the best-selling Blue Moon Promise...an exciting tale of danger, romance, and faith played out under Texas stars.

Confusing
For some reason I found this story confusing. Characters would be talked about, and I would think, “who is that?” Also I didn’t see why he kept secret his reason for being there. It didn’t make sense - he confided to one guy, but not the woman he loved. The narration was okay, even though most of the men sounded the same.

long slow and boring
this is my first book from this author and I didn't enjoy it at all the book starts out promising but by the fifth chapter and all the misfortunes I lost interest pretty soon the story didn't hold me in and with all the actions i still could not get into th story just about the same with the main characters I find Margaret a little bit annoying about her looks and height she acts immature all I can say about Daniel is that he's taller than her the narrator didn't help any just a bad read not feeling the love for this one

Ruined by the narration
This may be a good story, but with this narrator it is horrible. Most of the male voices sound more feminine than the female voices. I just couldn't get past it.
