Kirra and Reef quickly track the man, but what they discover is harrowing. Frank's daughter has been kidnapped. In order to save her, the man must use his knowledge as a mechanical engineer to do the kidnapper's bidding or she will die. Kirra and Reef, along with the entire McKenna family, are thrown into a race to stop a shadowy villain who is not only threatening a girl's life, but appears willing to unleash one of the largest disasters Alaska has ever seen.

Not as good as previous books
I read/listened to the previous books and enjoyed them for the most part. I unfortunately didn't enjoy this book as much as I found the romance too overbearing and the characters were not anything too special.

Book 5 in Alaskan Courage series. Best series eve
Kirra is a native of Yancy who went away for college but has returned to take over her dad's vet clinic. We know that from Kayden and Jake's book. Kirra is the neice of an Iditarod racer, Frank, who is forced to leave the race and break the law. Kirra's cousin, Meg, is kidnapped to insure Frank completes his task before the race ends.
Reef McKenna is the last of his family to find God and love. He is Kirra's life long nemesis (since age 5 when he called her stinky girl at recess) and SAR partner during the race. When they discover Meg has been kidnapped and Frank is being forced to do things he would never consider, they band together to save each other and Kirra's family.
I have loved each and every book in this series. Every book including this one starts off with action and suspense and never looses momentum.

I enjoyed this one, just as I did all of the ones before it. I am just sorry this is the last one in the Alaskan series.

Loved it!
I've enjoyed the whole series about the McKenna family. Piper is my favorite character, but I enjoy reading about the adventures and relationships of all the siblings. This one, featuring Reef and Kira, had some interesting plot twists and red herrings. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Love Dani's Books!!!
I love the 'Alaskan series' by Dani Pettrey about the 'McKenna family'. Dani is one of my favorite authors. I love her great storytelling and combination of romance with adventure! I also am so thankful that her books are also available as audiobooks.
[Spoiler Alert!]: I only have two small suggestions: I wish that the male main character in this book, Reef, could have sounded more "manly" (but I know that's super hard to do with a female narrator) and that Meg would have said something at the end of the book... since she was the one being rescued. I wondered throughout the book if she may have been "in on it" and that was neither completely proved nor disproved in the end.

More of the same but I do love this family.
What did you love best about Sabotaged?
It was nice to listen to the final chapter of the McKenna family. Sabotaged was similar to previous stories centered around the family, but I enjoyed the continuous bond they share even in times of tragedy.
What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)
The mystery had some elements of surprise. How things ended for the McKenna siblings and their love interests were predictable if you listened to the previous books in this series.
Which scene was your favorite?
There was not one scene that really stood out to me. I did enjoy the proposal after the explosion, but I won't say who found themselves on a bended knee.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I did attempt to listen to this book in a day or so, but only to just finish it. After the first few chapters I knew it would be more of the same story line as in previous books in the series.
Any additional comments?
Outside of the chase to find Kirra's cousin, this book was predictable. However, I truly enjoyed Christina Moore's narration. I would love to read more of the McKenna family, but with better story lines.

Loved the whole series and the entire McKenna clan
I loved this series. The characters and family dynamics were wonderful, the stories interesting and suspenseful and the romances beautiful, embracing true value over perfection. I loved that they all found God's redeeming grace.

Great narration for a wonderful close to series
I loved the way the narrator kept the different voicings distinct. Like a play rather than a narrated book.
The storyline is enjoyable and finishes of a sweet family saga.
Some elements are too good to be true, but then again I like books for their escape from reality.
