Aufgrund der Wetterlage kommt das Schiff nur sehr langsam voran. Dem blinden Passagier, der nur in der Dunkelheit ist, wird das zu eng und zu langweilig. Er zündet eine Kerze an. Die Wolle beginnt zu brennen. Bald brennt das ganze Schiff. Die Besatzung kann sich auf Beiboote retten und treibt im Meer...
