Publisher's Summary

Barrett

The name's Barrett Callahan. Yeah, that Barrett Callahan - the one the press dubbed "bare", after those naked sexting pictures surfaced. At 25, I was armed with an MBA from Harvard, an executive position at my father's Fortune 500 company, a penthouse, and a different piece of delectable eye candy in my bed every weekend. I had a life most men dreamed of. But then my father decided to run for president, and my playboy lifestyle became a liability to his campaign that was built on family values. My "makeover" comes in the form of a fake fiancée who I don't even get to choose - one who is an uptight, choirgirl, acting prissy, but also sexy as hell.

Addison

My latest relationship had gone down in flames, and I was drowning in a sea of student loans, when, in true Godfather status, James Callahan made me an offer I couldn't refuse. Seven figures for seven months on the campaign trail, pretending to be the adoring fiancée of his son, Barrett. As soon as he won the election, our engagement would be dissolved amicably for the press, I was free to ride off into the sunset a million dollars richer, and because of the NDA, no one would be the wiser. Sure, I'd never met the guy, but I'd been a theater nerd in high school. I could pull off any role from Lady Macbeth to Maria Von Trapp. But that was before I met my fake fiancé - the infuriating, self-absorbed, egotistical, drop dead sexy, King of the Man Whores.

The race will be a fight-to-the-death finish, and that's not even the actual campaign.

It crashed with 4 chapters to go

I was enjoying this book until almost at the end. The heroine is an idiot to be frank, which was disappointing because she was holding her own until the last few chapters when the author used her to create non existent conflict. That was when she suddenly decided the hero can't be trusted even though he did nothing to indicate that. It was a stupid premise for conflict that destroyed a potentially good story. Very disspointing and turned out to more aggravating than entertaining.

Fun story and there was actual singing!

Very cute story and a fun read. Love the Narrators who actually belted out lyrics to songs instead of just reading the words! I would read it again.

I really enjoyed this book. I laughed a lot and the banter between them was perfect! I love when a notorious playboy falls in love. These characters were fun and real, had a great connection. The chemistry from the beginning was on point and I loved how they got to know each other first. I wasn't sure what to expect when going into this book since i'm not much a fan of politics in my romance but thankfully I was pleasantly surprised.

The narration was great, they both were cast well for the characters!

I Vote For You

Barrett and Addison are running together towards something extraordinary! Nothing could quite prepare Addison for the proposition she got when she entered campaign headquarters that fateful day. Never in a million years would she have expected that when she offered to do anything to help James Callahan’s Presidential Bid that they would ask her to be James playboy son’s fake fiancée to help clean up his image. Barrett Callahan is very thing and nothing like she expected rolled in on one delicious tempting package. If you were to ask Barrett he would loudly and proudly proclaim he loved his life. Too bad his life apparently is poison to his father's campaign. When they come to him with a plan to try and clean up his image he knows he has to go along with it for his father. Addison is saucy and sexy and completely everything he never knew he needed or wanted. When the lines of fake and real blur, he knows he can’t let her go, but can he convince her this leopard has changed his spots. Narration- Stephanie and Jeff knock this out of the park. Their chemistry is off the charts. They have a delicious push and pull that leaps right out of your ears! Side note all the Ty parts are quite incendiary!

Pretty Good Fake Engagement Romance

Running was ok. There were things I liked, but I think this one had the potential to be a really good slow burn romance between Addison and Barrett. Instead of us feeling and see them slowly fall in love, we actually get their inner thoughts which isn't the same. I wanted the small touches, sneaked glances, and heartfelt moments. What really knocked this one down was something incredibly dumb that Addison does in the end that made no sense to me. Other than that I liked everything else about this book and the narrators were really good. They made this one very enjoyable and I couldn't press pause.

Cute romance for election season

I thought this was a great romance for election season. With interesting characters, witty banter, and behind the scenes campaigning. I thought the book was a lot of fun. My one quibble was that at times the tongue and cheek dialogue was a little overly cute with the sexual innuendo. Narration was really good with each of the narrators helping bring their characters to life.

It started ok and then it was not for me

I wanted more banter and what I got where descriptive scenes of their situation, surroundings, etc, while I did get a good background to each character they all had their personalities. The storie was slow of progression by this I mean they know the friendship is more but are too slow to change, let me clarify I don't mind slow burn or sexy scenes being limited or be none exsisting, but the actual drama for this audio was the heroine to my opinion guiding herself from a judgy perspective. Just because I got annoyed with the main female lead doesn't mean other won't enjoy it is for the most part a clean romance with only a a few scenes towards the end.
