This is a book for all levels of runners and incorporates all aspects of running from nutrition, physiology, psychology and all things to help one become a ‘happier and healthy runner’. Floris includes many excerpts from interviews with elite guest runners on his podcast such as Eliud Kipchoge, Courtney Dauwalter and Killian Jornet as well as professionals such as Phil Maffetone, Lawrence Van Lingen and Mat Fitzgerald. His basic approach involves low heart rate training, maximum enjoyment and minimising injuries. Each chapter ends with a brief synopsis of takeaway points to remember. I thoroughly enjoyed the book and found it highly motivating.
