When society ceases to exist, who can you trust? After the collapse of the nation's power grid, America is under martial law - and safety is an illusion. As violence erupts around him, Morgan Carter faces one of his most difficult decisions yet: whether to stay and defend his home, or move to a more isolated area, away from the prying eyes of the government. Morgan and his extended family could see the light at the end of the tunnel, dim though it may be. There was the promise of power once again. The plant was being repaired, and it looked as though it may actually run. While it meant lots of hard, sweaty work, the reward was worth the investment. The farm was growing strong, and community involvement was good. People were finally coming to terms with the fact that they needed to work together. So far Mother Nature had been on their side. But that, too, was about to change.

Story
Months after the EMP crippled the country, Charlie concentrated on survival. Unfortunately, that wasn’t working out too well. Russians and Chinese soldiers were now part of the occupation, while the loss of several of her friends to state sanctioned gangs had pushed her to the edge. It was time to fight back. Combatting a tyrannical government seemed beyond sane, but every journey starts with just one step. For Charlie and her group, that time had come. Retribution was to be meted out and with the help of a growing Resistance, reclaiming the country seemed more plausible by the day.

Publisher's Summary
Audiobook three of the chart-topping SHTF series is here, and some say it's the best one yet!
It's still the end of the world as we know it for Tucker.
The power grid went down a month ago, and mayhem continues as food is depleted or raided and water sources are running dry. As resources grow scarce, regular people begin to slide into savagery, especially when Tucker and Katie lose one of their own at Tullymore. Without rule of law, justice is the new law of the land, and they fall back to an eye for an eye.
Can Grayson and Olivia hold it together as their group grows larger but one of them takes a bullet?
At Grayson's farm, training is in full force, but not everyone is comfortable with the Wild West their world has become. When one of their own takes a bullet and Olivia is to blame, they must all come together before they fall apart.
Is this really the end of their world as they know it?
The streets are either eerily barren or filled with hunger-crazed mobs. Homes are left with nothing more than blackened stone and burnt-out dreams when the help they thought had arrived does more damage than good. But Fk'n Puck is on a mission to finally be a hero; he'll either survive and persevere or die trying.
Death is imminent, and bullets and blood fill their days as they run like the wind in audiobook three of the SHTF series, a post-apocalyptic thriller packed with action and adventure.

NEED TO GET THE NEXT BOOK ASAP
this story is everything and more. its thrilling frightening suspenseful heartbreaking, it has you rooting and crying for all the characters who are so diverse and real. it grips you immediately from book 1.
there are hard themes that are present in post apocalyptic settings making it uncomfortable to listen to sometimes. I found myself feeling for the characters in every scenario thinking to myself "what would I do?" it definitely gets you thinking.
narrator is awesome and adds to the atmosphere setting the scenes for our characters.
get this! you will not regret it!

A worthy addition to the series, more please.
I feel like apologizing to the author because the main feeling I have after reading this book is that I want to go directly to her and plead for MORE. The middle books in a standard series sometimes tend to stagnate and exist souly to lead plot to the next big thing. This book had a healthy amount of that yet I find that I don't mind there were still moments of strong emotion and I learned more techniques, how-tos and what not to dos which is everything I look for and was not let down in the least. I am hooked, addicted and I do not want reformation. Thank You Lisa. Job well done.

Adequate plot
Reading performance is great
Plot leaves the survivors a little too stupid and naive to long.
Greyman is a masochist allowing his family to live in Lala land for so long.
They never seem to get it that they need to coalesce into a unified group. They continue to believe they can live individual lives and that errant decisions they each make put them all in danger yet they just keep doing it.
They need to Kick dirt or get with the plan.
