Publisher's Summary

From Samantha Towle, the New York Times best-selling author of Wardrobe Malfunction and Breaking Hollywood, comes a dramatically powerful and passionate new contemporary romance.

And the new heavyweight champion of the world is....

Those are the words that Zeus Kincaid has been waiting to hear since he first put on a pair of boxing gloves. He just didn’t think they would come with a tragedy that would change how he viewed the sport forever.

Cameron Reed was in her second year at Juilliard when her childhood sweetheart, Zeus Kincaid, walked away from her. A few months later, Cam realized that she would never fulfill her dream of dancing for the New York City Ballet.

Now working as a dancer in an upscale club in Manhattan, Cam is brought face-to-face with the man she once loved. And it’s her turn to walk away from him.

After five years of missing Cam, Zeus isn’t prepared to let her go again. But when he finds himself standing on her doorstep the next morning, things don’t go quite as he expected....

Bad female audio recording and where's Lee Samuels

The audio of Summer Morton had some bad recording. She was the main narrator. I bought this with a credit and only heard Lee Samuels in the introduction which was disappointing. I don't appreciate seeing a dual narration when it really isn't. You only hear one or two chapters from the second narrator. The story was okay. I didn't understand why Cameron chose that particular line of work for a second job when she had a good first job. She was too stubborn when it came to her former high school sweetheart, Zeus, which dragged the story longer. I can go on and on with other aspects of the characters. Unfortunately, it was not worth my credit.

What happen to Lee Samuels?...

He disappeared after the 1st chapter! Lee is one of my favorite narrators and one of the reasons I purchased this. I was disappointed not to hear him☹️ Story was vanilla but could’ve been vanilla w/ chocolate syrup if Lee would’ve been narrating more.

Good story, bad editing

The story was great, loved Zeus.... swoon... could not stand Cam, I mean seriously at first I was behind her and her anger, once it was revealed about the first twist the anger should have been gone and focus on the issue at hand, once the second show dropped about the original reason they broke up, done she should have been completely over it, directing her anger to the person that really caused all the mess and focus on the future.. instead she was wishy washy, back and forth.. total bitch and I just wanted to smack her. 😡
Gigi was awesome. Zeus was amazing, all the Kincaids need their own book.

Audio was not the greatest. Several times it sounded like it was under water or talking through a metal can. Please edit your stuff better.

Lee Samuel, chapter 1 and then where the hell did he go??? I mean seriously. Kinda want my money back on this

Nearly perfect

Despite the fact that Lee Samuels is listed as a narrator this one is entirely narrated by Summer save for the very first chapter. She does an excellent job but I do think the story could have benefited from a dual point of view narration. There were many times I would have appreciated knowing what Zeuss was thinking or would have liked to have seen things from his perspective.

Otherwise this is a very good second chance romance. All the drama came from the situation and wasn't just created to stir things up. Both characters were well developed and seemed totally real.

A great listen that made me very excited to move onto the next book in the series.

Love prevails..! ❤️

This is one of those love list and live gained books. Parts of this had me tearing up, especially if the listener has experienced the kind of soul crushing love that breaks you when it’s done with you. Don’t worry there is a HEA but to get there takes big leaps of faith & forgiveness, as it should.
Zeus and his girl went thru hell and back and you want to root for them, you can’t help it as both are extremely likeable and relatable. This book will have you smiling (especially at GiGi) and rooting for their happiness.
There are some sexy (hot) moments but not a lot, most is build up and angst but not immature. I’m used to more erotica in these types books but this actually worked really well, and there is one scene that made me want take cold shower lol.
All in all great listen,

I love the relationship that builds between the father and the daughter. All the different relationships are interesting.

A great read!

Zeus walked away from Cam five years ago. When he sees her dancing in a club in Manhattan he wants her back. But things have changed and to get her back Zeus must win the fight of his life. It's a great read. I highly recommend it. I loved the narrator's too!
