About this listen
The first instalment in the award-winning Rowan of Rin fantasy series for children.
Bravest heart will carry on when sleep is death and hope is gone.
Rowan doesn't believe he has a brave heart. But when the river that supports his village of Rin runs dry, he must join a dangerous journey to its source in the forbidden Mountain.
To save Rin, Rowan and his companions must conquer not only the Mountain's many tricks but also the fierce dragon that lives at its peak.

Love that the shyest is the hero, that team work is encouraged and love for all living things is imparted.
And a great adventure 😊

Great story

The Narrator did an excellent job of portraying the different characters with just the simplest of changes in tone. It means a lot to me because I lost someone very close to me at an early age and it was the first of many books to help me process feelings (escaping into the narrative). I searched high and low for the rest of the series and I was happy to spend what little money I made from my first job on them.
I will most definitely be attaining the rest of the series as audio books and I can only hope that they have been adapted as well as this has.
Thank you.
5 stars!

Additionally the performance was wonderful, the reader spoke with such softness and yet the danger, alarm and action of the story isn't lost within the breathy tones. Each character had a specific undertone that made it that I would recognise which character was speaking before the story revealed it. And it was reminiscent of when I used to read the stories to my younger siblings, making sure to give each character a different voice.
As a whole it was a beloved tale brought to life by wonderful story telling and I am sure to jump straight into the next book of the series.
Phenomenal!!
