Rowan of Rin
A childhood favourite of mine, an underrated Australian Classic from the fantastical mind of Emily Rodda. The Only qualms I have is the music between chapters (or sometimes just between paragraphs) is inconsistent in its digital audio form. The story and Rachel Blakes crafty voicework makes this a high recommendation in my books.

Phenomenal!!
This series has always been a warm and happy part of my childhood as many Emily Rodda books have. As a young Australian these stories has always driven my dream to be an author. I may not be an author but they still hold an important place in who I became and I will always love them. Additionally the performance was wonderful, the reader spoke with such softness and yet the danger, alarm and action of the story isn't lost within the breathy tones. Each character had a specific undertone that made it that I would recognise which character was speaking before the story revealed it. And it was reminiscent of when I used to read the stories to my younger siblings, making sure to give each character a different voice. As a whole it was a beloved tale brought to life by wonderful story telling and I am sure to jump straight into the next book of the series.

Short, Soothing and Sensational
This story was read to me when I was young, but I feel that as a classic story it holds up. Rachael Blake has a very soothing voice that made me relax almost instantly, and she is quite talented with differentiations between characters. A small criticism is that musical pieces in between took me out of the story as opposed to engaging. Otherwise really great

Review of “Roman of Rin”
I thoroughly enjoyed this audio book. The Narrator did an excellent job of portraying the different characters with just the simplest of changes in tone. It means a lot to me because I lost someone very close to me at an early age and it was the first of many books to help me process feelings (escaping into the narrative). I searched high and low for the rest of the series and I was happy to spend what little money I made from my first job on them. I will most definitely be attaining the rest of the series as audio books and I can only hope that they have been adapted as well as this has. Thank you. 5 stars!

Not a page-turner series, but worth the time spent
Rowan's story begins slow in the first couple books. More contemplative, introspective filled with self-doubt. Quite unlike Deltora stories. Despite being hailed a hero by the end of book 1, he will continually face dismissal by the people. The series does not push us to a conclusion - we must hang on to find out where the story is going. Kinda like real-life growing up, except few of us are as insightful under pressure as young Rowan.
