Publisher's Summary

Robin of Locksley returns from the Crusades to find his people starving and oppressed by the new Sheriff of Nottingham. Under this tyrannical regime, the slightest crime attracts the heaviest punishment, and dissent is impossible. Robin soon discovers that the only way to reason with the Sheriff is with bow and arrow, even if it means sacrificing his lands and becoming an outlaw.

This exciting adventure is read by Richard Armitage, who plays Guy of Gisborne in Robin Hood. It also features Robin and his loyal band of brothers, as seen in the hit BBC TV series.

Crammed with action, humour, wit and romance, this fantastic adaptation of the classic tale brings the legendary outlaw hero to life for a whole new generation.

So enjoyable!

Richard’s narration was so enjoyable and fun. He sounded as if he was having a ball and that made it so entertaining to listen to. The insights Richard gave at the end of each episode into the series were a real bonus and I was sorry when I got to the end. Guess I can always listen to it again. Thanks Richard. Always a pleasure!

So so

It’s a good story, but all the extra talking in the music really leaves something to be desired

Interesting and exciting take on an old story

This was an astonishingly good read. I thought it might be a children’s story but there was no way this was good for young children. I got so carried away with it that I couldn’t stop listening and it was responsible for several poor nights’ sleep! The reading was brilliant. Richard says at the end that it is the first one he has done but I find that hard to believe and look forward to hearing many more of his efforts! Well done!
