Publisher's Summary

Genevieve Daylee didn’t expect to be standing in front of a judge on her 27th birthday. But ever since her life became entangled with a former motorcycle gang, she’s learned not to expect anything but trouble.

Her mother, a woman she once admired and adored, is gone, leaving behind a trail of secrets and lies. She’s living in a tiny apartment above a garage owned by her brother, a man who loathes her very existence. And the father she met beside her mother’s grave is as much of a stranger as Isaiah Reynolds, the broken man with soulless eyes standing beside her in front of the judge.

Isaiah is her protector from the murderer at large in Clifton Forge. Though he’s more like a riven knight in dented armor than a prince on a white stallion. She knows next to nothing about him, other than he works as a mechanic. As of tonight, he’ll be sharing her bathroom.

And, according to the judge, Isaiah is now her husband.

Good. Could have been shorter

I didn’t read / listen to the first book and it didn’t matter, you could piece together what was going on without it. It’s fairly long, some parts could have been removed as it was almost unnecessary. The performers were excellent and kept me engaged. Overall 3 / 5 is fair

My heart!

Again Devney Perry nails it! Such a wonderful story full of suspense and all the emotions. I loved how we got to finally learn more about Isaiah and Genevieve. Left me wanting more moving on to the 3rd book in the series.

Great Narration!!

Great 2nd book. Ties up all the loose ends and definitely has some shocking turns and saddness. I like that all the characters from book one were here for the ride. Hopefully, there will be more books in the series, not sure where the story could go from here. Worth the credit and your time to listen.... Great job with narrating by Jason Clarke and Maxine Mitchell....⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Omg! Absolutely INCREDIBLE!!!

My stomach was in knots throughout this whole book! This series has now become my favorite! Just know that you will need a box of Kleenex to get you through to the end. This is more than an mc story as the tin gypsy club has called it quits but the mystery and intrigue of the club is present during the entire thing. I give this story a straight up 10! Great job devney Perry! I seriously can’t wait until stone princess comes out on May 5th.

a stranger can become your everything

This second book in this series blew me away. I cried while cooking, giggled out loud at work, and melted into my comfy chair at the end of my day. Isaiah is the ultimate bad boy hero and Genevieve finds her forever. The next book can't release soon enough!

Fantastic

I really enjoyed the first book in the series so I was very excited to jump right into this one. It picks up right where book one ends with an unsolved murder and the threat of a rival MC. This book ties up some of the loose ends and unanswered questions but it still leaves you wanting more I can’t wait to see what the next book has in store.

Wonderful story and narrators!

Whew!! THIS BOOOOOOOOOOK! Genevieve had to make a decision that would not only affect her, but Isaiah as well. I liked how the reader doesn't know all the circumstances and it takes awhile for everything to come out. This book held mystery, danger and new relationships between friends and between lovers. This book has a LOT going on. First and foremost, I wanted to know what was going on between Genevieve and Isaiah. Ooh the tension between these two *claps hands*. Genevieve has had a rough year and things seem to keep getting worse for her. My heart went out to her and I wanted things to work between her and Isaiah. He's a good man, even though something horrible happened. There is so much depth to these characters, to what is going on with them and I couldn't put this book down! I'm loving the Tin Gypsies and I'm anxiously awaiting the final book in this series!

Fantastic second book in the series

Let me start by telling you what Riven Knight is not.
Riven knight is not a frothy love story where boy meets girl, there’s instant connection, stars in their eyes and POW! Love and happily ever after.
No. Riven knight picks up right where Gypsy King ends and carries on with the story of Genevieve and Isaiah. Isaiah is a broken man and Genevieve has just lost her mother under mysterious circumstances.
What we know is for some reason these two people get married. It’s a marriage of convenience that is anything but.
I love how Devney Perry develops this story. It’s an addictive read. I was a cheerleader for this unlikely couple. I can’t wait for Stone Princess next!
Maxine Mitchell and Jason Clarke did a fabulous job with the narration of the characters in this story.

Slow Burn Romance Perfection

Oh the burn, the slow, slow burn of a marriage of convenience romance between two strangers together only to protect each others secrets. This story had me longing for the characters to share a simple touch, that human connection both so desperately needed. Isaiah was such a guarded man, still never recovering from his time in prison or the act that sent him there in the first place. I ached for him to let Genevieve be the woman he confided in and find solace in, but he was a stubborn man determined to punish himself for his sins.

After surviving a horrific kidnapping, the last thing Genevieve wanted to do was remain in the same town where it all happened but there are secrets she and Isaiah left on the mountain that neither are willing to divulge. The underlying mystery of what happened kept me on the edge of my seat while listening, hooked on every word and hoping each new chapter would bring us closer to the truth. With strong themes of family and forgiveness, this romance gave me the perfect amount of steam to go along with the beautiful story of accepting love when we feel we don’t deserve it!

And Ohhhh let me tell you this audiobook was so satisfying, the narration was stellar - Jason Clarke is by far my favorite male narrator- I get goosebumps listening to his grumbles, and he no doubt was the perfect choice for Isaiah. Maxine’s narration played off of Jason’s flawlessly, both giving the book the emotion and grit needed to give me that instant connection to the story. Highly recommend this audiobook!

Riven knight had all the makings of a 5 star book.

I have a love , dislike relationship with this book. Also to note i listened to the audiobook which also skewed my review because the audiobook was way better than I would’ve read it. I know i would’ve skipped because it got repetitive and boring . However
It was very well written and detailed and with no errors or typos that i was aware of.
The audio book authors were amazing. The audio book was the reason That I finished this book. If i would have read it i would have skipped over stuff. It was to drawn out. This
Book isn’t a romance. I expected this to be a romance. The romance in the book took a back seat to the mystery and suspense of the plot. The sex scenes were Meh. I love a slow burn and am not into instant love so i enjoyed that but it took to long for them to be together and the inner conflicts about their feelings were to drawn out and unnecessary. This book lost me at chapter 20 it was too long and not enough romance between the characters. However it doesn’t take away from detail and the connection between the characters. I also did really like Isaisah he was a good book boyfriend.

An intense chapter in the Tin Gypsy story.

It seems that every Devney Perry gets better than the last. I'm still kicking myself for not jumping on this author's train quicker than this.

Before I read Stone Princess, I wanted to read the other books in this series. Yes, in theory they could be read as standalones. But there is an overarching storyline underneath at least the first two books. So while you can read this without reading Gypsy King, I'd highly recommend reading it first.

Riven Knight picks up more or less where Gypsy King picks up and the drama from that story bleeds into this one. Isaiah and Genevieve were side characters in Gypsy King. The action starts right away as they get married. It goes on from there in a rollercoaster of drama.

Isaiah and Genevieve both have broken pasts. Genevieve's we learn about in book 1, Isaiah we learn about here.

We do get answers to what happened in book 1 here. It wasn't as prominent as I wanted it to be and it set up book 3 kinda nicely.

I'm excited to start Stone Princess right away.

Maxine Mitchell and Jason Clarke really brought these characters to life.

Isaiah’s finally found his other half

It’s taken me a few days to be able to write this, as this book captured my heart so strongly, I wasn’t ready for it to be over.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, there is nothing Devney Perry can’t write.

This story is the one one I wanted most, as soon as I finished Tragic, I needed Isaiah’s story, if anyone needs a HEA it’s him, though his road to love isn’t smooth, it’s like being on the back of the bike he’s fixed up, bumpy, hard to hold on to at times and twists and turns in the road you won’t see coming.

I am in awe at Devney’s talent, I was gripped to every page, even when I had tears streaming down my face, I knew the end result would be worth all the pain and sadness, and I wasn’t wrong. Riven Knight is an exciting, unexpected, beautifully heartbreaking story, about two people thrown together in unusual circumstances finding love amongst their impossibly devastating surroundings.

We met Isaiah in Tragic, the brother of Kaine and the reason for Kaine’s heartbreak. I don’t want to give anything away as I believe everyone needs to experience Tragic for themselves. However, I can say, even after gaining Kaine’s forgiveness, Isaiah can’t forgive himself, he lives a solitary life, working hard and then going home to a small studio flat above the garage he works at. Never socialising or making friends, he is existing rather than living. No one can get through the walls around Isaiah’s heart, until he lands himself a wife he didn’t want and doesn’t love, but needs all the same.

Genevieve Daylee’s life has been turned upside down in a short space of time, after finding out her mother was brutally murdered, Genevieve heads to Clifton Forge to visit her grave, only to be kidnapped and held by a masked man set on revenge, landing herself in the middle of a war between two rival biker groups, at which, the head of one sits her Father, whom she’s never known or met. Sadly, the tragedies don’t stop there and after fleeing from the kidnapper, she ends up in another nightmare situation, but is thankfully saved by Isaiah, a total stranger, and the couple now share a secret no one can know. To protect each other, they decide to get married 1 week after they first laid eyes on one another, but this is just the beginning of the story for this pair.

At times my heart truly felt like it was breaking, the emotions Devney is able to evoke with her words is phenomenal, there is so much in this book, I can’t stress any more, how much I believe everyone should read this.
