Risky Shot

We meet Danielle and Mo in book 1, Danielle is Kenna’s best friend and the other woman to be witness to a crime. So when they think its save for Danielle to come to Kenna she does.

She then meets Mo’s who is a modern day Prince. And they hit it off; I loved this so very much. I loved Mo in the first book and knew, knew he needed a HEA.

But so does Danielle she is so headstrong and strong of heart she needs that someone to let her be her.

I loved this town, this series, and all its characters.

I forgot it ends in a cliff-hanger so without farther a due I am off to start it!

Eric G. Doves narration... Again is fanfreakingtastic!! I can’t even he has all these voices he makes everyone have their own. I love that he can do the old ladies!! Ha

The Story Continues

Usually I wouldn't buy another book by any author that leaves me hanging. However I really fell in love with these characters. So much so that I went out and bought the paperbacks. But must say I really, really, like the audio's. Specially the narrator Eric G. Dove who does a fantastic job narrating all of them. Not only do they keep one on the edge of their seat, they are so funny I laugh out loud as I picture this little town and all the town's people. Be sure to buy all of this series as it is more than worth it.

So Close!

This is not great writing - in fact, it's rather shallow and immature. Nevertheless, in spite of myself, I've somehow become involved with the series. The idea - the premise of the story is great - it's just that the plot and especially the relationships between the characters are not very well developed. Things happens very quickly with little or no explanation and I frequently have a "how did this happen?" reaction. The narrator seems to get good reviews, but I think he sounds somewhat forced and enforces the lack of depth. All of this being said - I have to admit to being entertained and I will probably listen to more of the series. Maybe a good female reader would help out a bit.

A little flat

I love the picture chosen for this book but similar to book one in the series, this one had zero passion and the love story developed literally over two dates. Don’t see that happening in real life so it was hard for me to totally get into a story where the main characters were SOOOO in love so quickly. Weak action sprinkled here and there and good narration. Not sure if I can recommend it as great work of action or romance, but it was entertaining enough.

Cliffhanger

Thank heaven these are in the audible escape package. These are simple, enjoyable escape reading books. They aren’t complicated, the romance feels a bit forced sometimes (not sure if it’s the narrators lack of sappyness I’m emotional parts) and quick but I’m enjoying them for what they are. The town and friends make me want to live In a small town.

Major cliffhanger!!

This narration is very good as is the story. But I really dislike cliffhangers! I still gave it 5 stars because the characters, suspense, and narration are all very good.

Keeping me interested in series

I liked this book but not as much of the first and a lot of that is because I felt in some ways like I was still reading Kenna’s story and not Dani’s. I also think the author starting to realize this and sent Kenna off scene so the focus could actually shift to Dani.

My biggest issue was I didn’t like Mo/Dani together at all. I fell in love with Mo’s character in the first book and I guess I was just expecting more for him. I’m not saying I don’t like Dani but the romance was rushed and I didn’t get a real sense of the chemistry between the two characters.

I have to also let folks know who listen to the audiobook that 1/5th of the book is spent on a single flashback and much of that flashback was told in the first book. This was a really difficult thing to get through as an audiobook because I felt like I had heard it all before and it took away from the current story.

I know a lot of folks had issues with the cliffhanger ending. I didn’t because Kenna and Dani have been the two leads for this scenario and the cliffhanger setup the third book to be able to focus on someone else. I just hope the author can pull it off.

A Prince of a Man

Dani finally makes it to Kentucky far a reunion with her best friend and boss. Even though they were temporarily safe, Dani McKenna were still targets of very powerful men. Now there’s a new love interest to enjoy. Great performance and story. Recommend Series.

Risky Shot

I really enjoyed this book! I hated the cliffhanger ending, ,but understand that a lot of authors are doing that in hopes of selling more books.
