Excellent - Can’t wait for book 2...
Enjoyed Mike’s other audio book, but this series has surpassed it and I can’t wait to listen to the next when its release in audio.
Excellent narrative brings all of the characters to life.

fantastic story
The whole story is so good from start to finish! only thing I will say is some sex scenes that pop up are very very descriptive so be careful who you listen to this with

Performance. Starts off stilted in a somewhat frustrating manner, but once you get used to it, you do appreciate it as it is a fast-paced story and the little breaks give you time to keep up when the reader speeds up. especially if listening whilst being productive.
The story is great. My only problem is I tend to read at home and listen to audiobooks whilst working, so the rather large quantity of sex is uncomfortable, made more so by me being out in public. and the ever increasing quantity as the books progress.

Xes in the city.
Just a forewarning, every encounter/story beat is punctuated by 'meeting' a hot fantasy girl. While not all of them end in xes the story revolves around collecting them as a fighting force to take down his former gang. The story serves as a back drop to make this happen and to give an excuse for the MCs growing strength.
The city has an interest in treating magical girls as a commodity and the MC has a change of heart, allowing him swoop on by and take all the girls for himself. Each of these encounters is contrived and lack stakes considering how central the MC is to the story. The story has a lack of notable enemies despite the story being centered around revenge. The ending would amount to a CGI boss battle.

An ok story hides behind all the gratuitous sex
This reads as the book i would have written back in my college D&D playing days. I was aware it would be awful and would just read as my personal fantasy list of hot female cliche characters to "bang". The author had no such self awareness, and so, we have this book.
