Publisher's Summary

Revenge, they say, is a dish best served bloody and twitching.

For Kellik, nothing matters so much as defeating his father and destroying his reign over Port Gloom.

But as powerful as Kellik has become, his father will surely crush him if he doesn't stay three steps ahead. Toward that end, he'll have to employ every ounce of cunning, break every rule, wrest ever advantage, and bring the very fury of the Hanged God down upon Port Gloom.

Burning with a furious desire to crush his opponents, Kellik will return with his gorgeous rogues' gallery of companions to attack the ancient city from all sides: Using politics, assassinations, betrayals, and outright warfare, he'll stop at nothing to ensure his father's downfall.

He's willing to risk it all. But is there a price to victory even he's not willing to pay?

Warning and minor spoilers: This is an 18+ audiobook intended for mature listeners. It contains graphic sex, medieval violence, and nudity.

GIVE ME A BOOK 4 & 5 PLEASE !!!!!!!!!

THIS BOOK IS LIKE IF THE COUNT OF MONTE CRISTO AND V FOR VENDETTA HAD A LOVE CHILD THAT WAS RAISED IN A ROMAN/JAPANESE HAREM FANTASY !!! Mike Truk you are the best thing since individually wrapped cheese you left me with at least six unanswered questions but somehow you did not leave this book on a cliffhanger. The sex scenes were amazingly well-written as usual and I have to say the story was obviously phenomenal by itself but I need more...... when will the Shadow Rogue meet the Lost River, can the shadow rogue meet the last River PLEASE SAY YES, how many syndicates are going to pop up trying to be the new family, does Kelliks father have a legitimate son or even worse daughter out there, and most importantly to me anyway can Pony please get laid by a City troll LMFAO ????????? I'M SORRY THERE'S GOT TO BE AT LEAST TWO MORE BOOKS.

good series

I enjoyed the entire series. I had thoughts it would be predictable but never expected the ending. when fighting foes more powerful the ending is never good.
I hate final battles where our loved mc gets luckier than wagon full of leprechauns. our mc was neither loved or lucky. thanks for a great story

Mixed feelings

Spoilers.
I love this series but hate how weak the MC is. He has the blood of one of the most fear creatures in himself but he's just dumb down to a human that heals. His power is so spotty because he either heals immediately or slow in different fights which is irritating. His race was hyped up to be the End All Be All in book 2 but the author had to create/build on another race just to kill the antagonists.

Like come on now a race of troll that was so powerful and feared a religion was created to kill them.

Oops he did it again

This story was amazing I think I will be a life long fan of his work . It is a easy recommendation I found that it kept guessing how he was going to end this book.

Entertaining but making no sense

The story is kinda entertaining and I want to know what's going to happen to the group, BUT I stoped listening around chapter 5 because the group's plan and behavior are making no sense to me.

You spend a long time planning to come back and did not plan for the people here in his hometown to recognize him?
Man and you openly talking about your plan, your identity, and revealing so much in front of the 1st assassin that came to kill you... man, it's too much of a stretch here. Not to say just believe everything that the assassin says... I thought they are more careful than in the 2nd book, suddenly they just go back to hey let's improvise everything... The Count of Monte Cristo vibe has gone down the drain at that point.

An amazing story

There's so much happening in this book that I can't even begin to summarize. Needless to say, if you're wondering if you should continue the series, yes, lots of issues are resolved, but I'm still waiting for a book on The Adventures of Pogo and Pony.

Mixed feelings.

Book was good. Ending was not really satisfying. But still an ending. Not bad, but still wanted them all to meet in the end.
