Publisher's Summary
This series contains mature themes and strong language, and listener discretion is advised.
Campbell Parkes may be an idiot but he still has his own radio show, broadcast every day at midnight to a dwindling audience. His long-suffering producer Michelle longs to pursue real journalism but instead must listen to Campbell's on-air rants about expensive cinema tickets and reusable coffee cups every night.
When an opportunity to grab the station's hallowed breakfast slot develops, it's time to raise their game and make the biggest splash possible - no matter how outrageous. It's a win-win situation: supporters tune in to cheer you on, and detractors tune in just to hate you. People have never been so desperate to be offended.
In the chase for ratings, there's no turning back - they can only keep running into one disaster after another....
Riot Act is a hilariously subversive satire about the price of success, populism and the media that keeps it going. Mark Humphries, one of Australia’s most celebrated comic talents, heads a stellar ensemble cast including Liv Hewson (Netflix's Let It Snow and Santa Clarita Diet), Anjali Rao, Tony Martin, Gretel Killeen, Tom Ballard, Marc Fennell, Wendy Harmer, Rosie Waterland, Heather Mitchell, Jordan Raskopoulos, Hugh Riminton, Monica Attard, Dan Ilic, Hamish Macdonald, Ben Fordham and Sandra Sully.

An absolute BALLTEARER! So many rewindable moments
Haven't laughed so hard since The 12th Man, if this was the 90s everyone would be walking around the workplace quoting Riot Act all week.
One of those times when you actually wish you hadn't heard it so you can hear it again for the first time.
So many brilliant characters. So many quotable moments.
Can't wait to start it again to pick up all the jokes I missed the first time.
I'd list my highlights but they are numerous.
Ep6 was too funny to not skip back and listen to it again.
Marc Fennel (a podcast in a podcast) almost made me have an accident I was so excited.
So many cameos from Australian talent.
Satire at its best.

So good
Please make more content like this! Exactly what we all need right now. Listened to it because of Dan’s episode of wilosophy. I never listened to audible podcasts before. I was actually about to attempt to ditch my audible prescription (which I hear can be an absolute pain in the arse, as is downloading content on the audible app by the way). If audible keeps producing content like this I might stick around. Some of my favourite Australians producing funny and clever stuff. Well done Mark, Dan and team

Being stupid has never been this smart
Extremely bingeable, but I was sad when it finished.
The whole show is very funny and very clever. Bits would make me stop what I was doing to marvel at how they came up with the most perfect, stupid and profound concept or punchline.
I really enjoyed this format that allowed characters to develop in a few different dimensions. Am looking forward to the second series (please!)

Funniest Audible Content So Far.
If you like any quick-witted scripted satire then you’ll love this series. Easily the best scripted comedy podcast I’ve heard before. I can’t recommend it highly enough.

A very funny, very biting satire about the media, shock jocks and Aussie racism. A top notch chunk of podcast comedy.

Outstanding
This podcast is full of foul language and crude themes and I found it highly offensive. In short, it's perfect and everyone should listen to it. So well written and acted and the sound effects are so believable. Outstanding.

Love this pod
Campbell Parkes is the love child of Mike Moore and KAK - I loved every second of this bubblehead’s adventures!
It’s unrelentingly funny and the sound is bonkers good - listen with your best noise cancelling headphones.

Fast paced and damn funny satire
Loved every minute of this and really hope they commission a second. The characters are wonderfully awful, the jokes are thick and fast. I’d quite liken it to a radio station, current day media and sensibility lynching based Thick of It.
Truly a breath of fresh air, which is just what I’ve also been experiencing with my new VacuNose™️...

Smart, funny, satire.
Seriously had me laughing out loud. The characters are all flawed, terrible people who I love to pieces, and the jokes are on pulse and wonderfully satirical.
Some parts are hard to hear, where the music or SFX are too loud and drown out the voice actors, but it isn't too bad.

I'd give negative five stars if I could
I dont know Mark Humphries or that Feltcher guy, nor would I care to.
This audible is the worst thing that's happened to me so far in 2020.

This show was awful, I did not enjoy it one little bit. I listened to 3/4 of the first episode and gave up. Save your time, there are far better programs on here then this.

Crass and foul mouthed. Had it been funny it may have been worth persevering.
