About this listen

No one rides like Chase Austin.

Bad boy. Player. Adrenaline junkie. Snowboarder Chase Austin has a reputation - and not just for being the world's best extreme athlete. He's as cold as the mountains he rides, loyal only to his crew...and panties drop wherever he goes.

Photographer Brooke Larson knows better than to let him get through her emotional Kevlar. So what if she used to have his poster on her bedroom wall? She's not a teenager with a crush anymore. Chase Austin is her key to the big time, and she's getting his photo no matter what. Too bad the only place Chase wants her is in his bed.

Men leave. Success is forever. Brooke knows the drill, and she's not letting anyone get in the way of her career - or into her heart. But whether it's on the slopes or between the sheets, riding with the best means risking it all.

Contains mature themes.

I loved this story. This was the first book I've read by this author and I was impressed. I've not read a snow sports romance before and I really enjoyed it. The characters really have been through alot and their troubles burden them and affect their decision making throughout the story but eventually realise there is no denying their connection. Will definitely read more by this author.

Heartfelt, connection and snow

The story was fine, nothing groundbreaking but fun to listen to and the snowboarding aspect was a little different from other sports romances. Maxine’s narration definitely made this a whole lot more enjoyable and her voice really suited the FMC. Would’ve loved this as a duet narration though!

Maxine Mitchell nailed this character!

Unsure about my feelings on the book overall to be honest, I didn't hate it but wouldn't rush to pick it up again I think
I found the characters boring, I didn't feel the ansgt between them that was apparently there. I feel like it could have been a bit more exciting and descriptive maybe?

okay but not amazing

Maxine Mitchell does an incredible job narrating and bringing every character to life, full of all the feels. I really enjoyed the writing brought to life. Felt everything!!!! The descriptions, the poetic lyrical gems were a delicious surprise. And the love was palpable and deep.

Great listen

nice ending

There was some conflict for conflicts sake and sacrificing of some characters that felt unnecessary.
Brooke's constant wonder at Chase wanting anything to do with her gorgeous tired, fast.
Other than that, this was sweet and fun.

Could have been shorter.

Found this one kinda by accident and I'm so glad I did. Brilliant writing style with richly detailed scenes. Maxine's soothing timbre for both Brooke and Chase was perfect- Joe Arden's epilogue could have been narrated by Max too. He added absolutely nothing

Good plot and rich wording

I’m as undeceive as the female lead. Her second guessing and constant uncertainty was so frustrating how she keeps going back and forth on her feelings about everything that’s in this story. It’s really affected the enjoyment of the potential for the story.

Snowboarding romance 🏂🏼❄️

Honestly another book that had the potential to be great but wasn't and I am trying not to be petty with the rating because I enjoyed the story and side characters (who were fab), It was mostly the storyline and main characters that I had an issue with so at this point, why bother with it at all...

This was giving ✨toxic energy✨ in an annoying 'make up your mind" kinda way as he could just not decide on being alone or making it work and she was so indecisive about trusting him due to daddy issues which were ridiculous.

The character building was next to nothing when it came to Chase, apart from the deal with his sister and as for Brooke, all we got was her pathetic issues with a dead beat dad and the overdramatic reaction from seeing him. By the way, that whole see was utter ridiculous so I’m not really sure why that had to be part of it at all🤷🏻‍♀️

The audio was all done in one POV being the FMC however... Joe Arden was listed as the MMC but he did absolutely NOTHING apart from the last chapter which was the epilogue that went for 10 minutes… out of an 11 hour audiobook!? His name should not be on the audiobook title 🙄💀
