Richard und sein Freund, das Kätzchen Kolumbus, ziehen hinaus in die Welt. Es hat ihnen zu Hause nicht mehr gefallen, weil sie einsam sind und keiner sie richtig lieb hat. Aber so einfach ist das nicht, draußen in der großen, weiten Welt. Da treffen sie eine Hexe, die sie unbedingt einsperren will. Sie glaubt nämlich, Richard will ihre Riesensuppe klauen, was der doch gar nicht vorhatte. Aber wenn man von Hexen schon so schlecht behandelt wird, ja sogar eingesperrt wird, dann muss man sich ja wohl wehren! Und das tut Richard dann auch, wie man sieht - bzw. hört. Doch er erlebt noch andere Abenteuer, bei denen ihm, wie immer, sein Kätzchen Kolumbus ein unschätzbarer Freund ist! - "Miauuuu!"
