Publisher's Summary

Dear Listener,

Rich Woman is an audiobook on investing for women. Why an investment book written just for women? There's a very good reason. The how-to's of investing; how to buy and sell a stock or how to find a profitable rental property are the same for men and women. What's different are the unique issues that women face when it comes to money and investing.

Here are some eye-opening statistics:

  • 47% of women over the age of 50 are single.
  • 50% of marriages end in divorce. (The #1 thing couples fight about is money.)
  • In the first year after a divorce, a woman's standard of living drops an average of 73%.
  • 90% of all women will be solely responsible for their financial well-being within their lifetime.

Let's face it women, what worked for our mothers and grandmothers is not working for most of us, our daughters and our granddaughters. So now is the time for women to get smarter with their money.

My passion is to educate and encourage women to create the financial security and peace of mind they want and deserve in their lives. If that's what you want, then I trust this audiobook will be of great value to you. Here's to your success as a Rich Woman!

    With thanks,
    Kim Kiyosaki

A great introduction to investing for women

I found this book after seeing Kim Kiyosaki speak on London Real. Her approach to building wealth is inclusive and accessible which I really qppreciate as my knowledge of investing strategies before this was very little. I really enjoyed the way the book is set up as a story; it was very easy to read and had a conversational, light feeling.

I now feel more confident to study investment strategies more deeply and to take practical action with my own money too.

I'm really grateful to Kim for creating a book like this from a woman's perspective.

I will definitely go on to read more from her and Robert Kiyosaki too.

    Highly recommend!

I got it already! let's move on

The book consists of 24 chapters, and the first 7 chapters emphasizes on the needs for women to be financially independent. While this is a great point, I was hoping Kim will get straight to the point and present solid strategies on investment. Many of her points are common sense, such as the importance of financially interdependent, pay yourself first, and don't be afraid to ask questions etc. I wouldn't recommend this book even to the beginners because of its repetitions. The book is written in story style. Does 4 women sharing a lunch date in New York City sounds familiar to you? It reminds me of Sex and the City , but the characters lacks appeal. Although I haven't listened to Rich dad, Poor dad, Kim admits that the investing ideas she learned came from Robert, and that the fundamentally important ideas can be found in his book. Save your time on this one!

    Horrible

The story was repetitive, the finance advice didn’t start until about chapter 6. I stopped around chapter 12 because the advice was just so bad. She talks about putting money aside into accounts for savings, investments, charities before paying your debts or bills that are due (which will then accrue you interest and send your credit score to the toilet). And in chapters before she talks about how you don’t need money to invest because you can borrow it from the banks! But with her philosophy no banks will give you a loan because your credit score will be ruined with her methods. Just horrible advice.

    Definetly a Good Book

This book was super good for me to listen too. I feel mentally healthier after listening to this book. I think I really needed to hear the Kim's message. I even went and bought Kim's second book, "It's Rising Time," and listened to that one as well. The second book was even better than the first! I'm so glad these two books exist. A must read for all women!

Investing book that reads like ‘Sex & The City’

Kim is truly an intelligent, refreshing and energetic woman. I found Rich Woman to be informative for would be investors and beginners alike. She introduces practical action based investing ideas and concepts within stories of her life and the conversations she’s had with her girl-friends which made it more entertaining and relatable. I enjoyed the references of statistics and was surprised as they illustrate why women and girls NEED to enhance their financial literacy and invest... It’s never too late to learn to further safeguard you and your livelihood.

Hey Kim I think you and your friend should also add the forth type, An arrogant man, to the three types of men so we can start discussing what type of investment is an arrogant one hahaha

    Powerhouse woman rule the world!

So incredibly grateful for this book! I have thoroughly enjoyed all of Robert's books that I've got my hands on (rich dad poor dad, cashflow quadrant, increasing your financial IQ, and before you quit your job) However it was incredible to hear Kims perspective and her friends... she depicted how different woman from different backgrounds got into investing! I'm a numbers girl and I love that there were stats in this book to back the info. It inspired me even more to bust through glass ceilings! I used to he a dreamer, then I became an adult and thought, well I guess that's not possible. This powerhouse couple reminded me that YES it is and I DO deserve it. YES I can do this and they assure you that you're going to make mistakes and THAT'S ok! Kim is humble and candid in sharing her own mistakes! I'm so excited about leaning again! This is not a how to book exactly, it's a book to inspire and get you thinking on your own. It's not meant to hold your hand through the process. It's a great book to get you pumped, then come back and listen to when you want to quit! that's exactly what I'll be doing:)

Women are doing it for themselves...

I loved the format of this book which follows a group of Uni friends through their financial awakening. Advice flows freely and you take from it the nuggets which speak to you. I have listened to this book before but there was plenty which spoke to me the second time around. I can't recommend it highly enough to ALL women - finance really is gender specific. Who'd have thought it.

Another great book from the Kiyosaki’s

What great easy listening book, very informative as Rich Dad series, definitely a open mind book for women (and mens too) in a time that financial life is so important and the majority pretends that they don’t have to be interested in money. A must listening and reading. Many thanks Kim and Robert for all the wisdom that you give us. I wish you all the best.

    Loved it 😊

Something for everyone no matter where your starting point in life is.
I could relate to some aspect of each woman's story and it reinforced the importance of the concept that whatever you want in life there is a process, the journey, to follow that is more important than the end point.
Thank you for sharing your wisdom.
