Publisher's Summary

He walked into school on his first day and owned it. I guess that's what happens when you're a prick, rich, and you're best friends with the ruling school's king. Also didn't hurt that he's drop-dead gorgeous.

That's all fine. I mean, I have nothing to do with them. I'm a loner, invisible, and that's how I wanted it to be. I was even proud of it, until I wasn't. Until I saw a girl kneel before him. Until I couldn't look away. Until he caught me watching.

His name is Blaise Devroe. My name is Aspen Monson. He only knew how to get, command, and demand attention. I knew how to do everything but that.

And this is our story.

Rich Prick is a full 100,000-word stand-alone.

Blaise and his girl

I love that there is an audible version of this book. Love the story. However the female narration is extremely bad. She can’t distinguish between characters...any of them. Absolutely bad. The male narrator was such a relief when he spoke. If not for him, I would have sent this back. Please Tijan, don’t ever use this female narrator again. This story is really good. Fell in love with Blaise and his girl. Fortunately I read the story and listened at same time (turning volume down really low when female narrator spoke and back up when the guy started speaking.

Loved parts of this book

In the beginning of the novel, the female character is a little strange and somethings are hard to understand, but it gets really good after the two characters hook up. The last chapter and the first epilogue are confusing. I still very much liked the book.

I’m confused!

I need to listen to this book again. I like this type of story with lots of characters and stuff. I could not keep up with all the group of family and friends. I mean parents are around and not around. Brothers and sisters not knowing each other. I have read so many of these high school /college bully type situations, bad parenting, devoted friendships, angry ex’s, apologies bla bla bla. I think maybe there wasn’t enough character building and introduction. I didn’t know who belonged to who, who is beating up who and why. It was so confusing. I have so much respect for writers. Even if I dont like a story, if I finish it I give 5 stars. Honestly, I was thinking I was slow-witted, but no, it has to be this author. This was not written good.

Hooked from the very beginning

I was hooked from the very beginning of this book. I usually don’t like books that take place in high school but Tijan likes to defy the odds when it comes to what I usually like in a book. I loved how unlikely of a couple Blaise and Aspen were and how much they both helped the other grow as a person. They both worked through their demons and the support they gave each other was heartwarming. I seriously loved this book and snuck sentences or paragraphs in during any second or minute I could get while waiting for an elevator, my husband to order food at a restaurant or any other time.

A must for all Tijan fans - I loved it

It’s not secret that I’m a huge Tijan fan, and of course anything Fallen Crest, and although Rich Prick is a complete standalone, there are quite a few references to the Fallen Crest crew and their family and friends. I loved how it tied in to previous books, and fans of Fallen Crest will recognise Aspen’s surname (Monson), yes that’s correct, she’s Nate’s little sister. Blaise Devore too, has links to all the crew, and yes pun intended, and yes the title of the book fits perfectly, he’s also much more than that. In fact both Aspen and Blaise have had their fair share of trauma growing up, and therein lies their problems with their family, because, yes, it all boils down to family in the end. I loved the interactions between Blaise and Aspen, they were always so true and meaningful, and let’s face it Blaise has quite the temper, he holds grudges, and he hardly ever lets anyone into his inner circle, but he’s a teddy bear when it comes to Aspen, and I just loved that. A beautiful, highly emotional, high school drama that I could not get enough of. Even with all his baggage, Blaise is a firm favourite in my book boyfriend list of ‘yes please’. I adored him and his honesty and protectiveness of those he loved. Lee Samuels narrated Blaise perfectly, he’s new to me, and definitely someone I’ll be looking up. As always Grace Grant was just complete and utter perfection. I’ve never heard her narrate a bad book.
