Reviewed Revenge
It's hard to review without giving away the story. Laurel Lefkow's performance was just as good second time around and the storyline moves along from the original novel ... but .... it felt unresolved in some respects. I would have liked to know whether Andy benefited from what happened; I would have loved to know how the "Devil" herself reacted to Andy's decision. I feel we, the readers, miss an important part of the story. Maybe too much introspection from Andy .... it goes on too long, however, all in all, I enjoyed the sequel and will listen t it again.

Engaging sequel!
It’s 10 years since Andy Sachs’ spectacular resignation from Miranda Priestly and Runway Magazine. Andy has gotten married and befriended old Runway supervisor, Emily, and the two of them have produced a successful bridal magazine, The Plunge. Unfortunately, Miranda is keen to acquire their magazine. I’m not sure I’ve ever read so many vitriolic reviews about a book before, but I didn’t mind this and found it engaging. Reviewers seem unable to cut Andy any slack for not totally having her act together or for being emotional, despite the pregnancy hormones. Andy does appear to have PTSD and/or depression from her time at Runway, so I found even her wonkier decisions mostly understandable. I did find Andy a less relatable character, but I suspect that’s because the book is written in the third person, rather than the first person, like The Devil Wears Prada - I don’t understand the decision because it deprives us of more of her thoughts. Laurel Lefkow narrates the audio extremely well, her voices for Andy, Emily and Miranda are instantly recognisable.

Can see why the sequel was not made into a film
I was surprised by Lefkow's ability to interchange accents and maximize readers' imagination! Really enjoyed her reading!
I enjoyed the book but Andy's personality was so dragging and annoying especially in the beginning few chapters. And as the plot raced towards the ending the plot became such a typical soap opera.
Was a little disappointing.
spoiler 📢 alert!!
do not scroll down if you haven't yet read it.
I repeat DO NOT SCROLL DOWN!!!!!
DO NOT SCROLL DOWN OR ELSE YOU WILL BE SPOILED!!!!
I reckon having feelings for ex is still cheating because of history. yet this rule applies to Max, yet it did not apply to Andy nor Alex. I don't know if this was intended by Weisberger to satirise psychology of most people in general, but the fact that Andy ended up with Alex looked as if the characters were fantastical.
First love is hugely overrated.

Closure for Andrea
This book was necessary to find out what happened to Andrea after her baptism by fire with Miranda.
It was not the fire and brimstone of the first book, but a sweet love story.

Do not expect anything new
Sequels are meant to add on to the story, expand the universe or teach the character something new. An easy listen but don’t expect anything you found exciting from the original here.
